I am normally a big Rough Guide fan and like them better than LP, but this book was pretty weak. We drove around Sicily for 10 days and visited towns both included and not included in the book—we found that the guide was pretty terrible when it came to comprehensiveness, in terms of describing the towns it actually covered as well as leaving out towns and areas that really should have been included. For instance, the sizeable city of Gela, which is definitely a cool place to visit, was not even mentioned in the book at all (neighboring much smaller towns were included, bafflingly).  The book is useful for some things, but don’t rely on it too much.
