Covering approximately 2m² per 500ml, it offers long-term protection against corrosion for automotive, industrial, and home metal surfaces. Trusted across Europe, this 3-pack aerosol set is a must-have for professionals and DIYers aiming to extend the life and look of their metal assets. ## Description Most rust treatments make you choose: strip back to bare metal (time-consuming) or paint over it and hope for the best (short-lived). JENOLITE Rust Converter Spray does neither — it chemically eliminates the rust where it stands.Epoxy chemistry that does more than neutralize The epoxy-based formula reacts with iron oxide on contact, converting it into a stable, inert compound that cannot continue corroding. Unlike water-based converters, the epoxy binder simultaneously forms a hard, adhesive primer layer directly on the treated surface — bonding to what remains of the metal and locking out the moisture and oxygen that cause rust to return. No primer step. No stripping. Just spray. Apply directly to rusted metal — no need to clean back to bare steel. Spray on, let it react for 15 minutes, and you are ready to topcoat. The cured surface accepts most water- and oil-based paints without an additional primer coat. What it works on Cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, trailers, boat frames, agricultural equipment, garden gates and railings, outdoor furniture, tools, structural steelwork — any ferrous metal with surface rust or moderate corrosion. The finish Once cured, the treated surface is matte black. It can be left as-is for a clean, corrosion-resistant finish, or painted over for a full restoration.16.9 fl oz (500ml) aerosol. Covers approximately 21.5 sq ft (2 m²) per can. Epoxy-based formula. Made by JENOLITE, established 1939. ## Features - EPOXY-BASED RUST CONVERTER: Unlike standard water-based converters, JENOLITE uses an advanced epoxy formulation that bonds to rusted metal at a molecular level — chemically neutralizing iron oxide and forming a tough, integrated primer layer in a single step. No separate primer required. - WORKS IN 15 MINUTES — JUST SPRAY AND WALK AWAY: Shake, spray directly onto rusted metal, and let the formula do the work. The treated surface visibly darkens as conversion takes place. Once cured, ready to paint with most water- or oil-based topcoats. No grinding, sanding, or stripping needed. - STOPS RUST FROM COMING BACK: The cured epoxy coating seals the surface against moisture, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and chemical attack — the root causes of rust returning under paint. Delivers long-term corrosion resistance on vehicles, trailers, gates, tools, garden furniture, machinery, and structural steel. - 16.9 fl oz (500ml) AEROSOL COVERS UP TO 21.5 sq ft (2 m²) PER CAN: Works on ferrous metal surfaces of all kinds — car body panels, truck chassis, bike frames, railings, fences, and industrial equipment. Treats surface rust through to moderate corrosion. Leave as a matte black finish or overcoat with most paint systems. - TRUSTED BY PROFESSIONALS SINCE 1939: JENOLITE is Europe's longest-established rust treatment brand, used by automotive workshops, fleet operators, and industrial maintenance teams for over 85 years. Proven chemistry, now available in the US. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0GF2WZCJ3 | | Best Sellers Rank | #31,728 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #131 in Care Corrosion & Rust Inhibitors #1,340 in Oils & Fluids | | Brand Name | JENOLITE | | Coverage | 2 m² | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (2,096) | | Dry Time In Hours | 0.25 | | Finish Type | Matte | | Full Cure Time | 24 hours | | Item Form | Aerosol | | Item Volume | 500 ml | | Item Weight | 0.5 kg | | Manufacturer | JENOLITE | | Paint Type | Spray | | Part Number | 89798 | | Size | 16.9 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) | | Specific Uses For Product | automotive repair, marine maintenance, industrial equipment preservation, home improvement projects involving metal surfaces | | Surface Recommendation | Metal | | Unit Count | 16.9 Fluid Ounces | ## Product Details - **Brand:** JENOLITE - **Finish Type:** Matte - **Full Cure Time:** 24 hours - **Item Form:** Aerosol - **Item Volume:** 500 ml - **Paint Type:** Spray - **Size:** 16.9 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) - **Surface Recommendation:** Metal - **Unit Count:** 16.9 Fluid Ounces ## Images ![JENOLITE Epoxy Rust Converter Aerosol, Neutralizes Rust, 1x16.9 fl oz - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/617ukID9CtL.jpg) ![JENOLITE Epoxy Rust Converter Aerosol, Neutralizes Rust, 1x16.9 fl oz - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Jt0+h0ToL.jpg) ![JENOLITE Epoxy Rust Converter Aerosol, Neutralizes Rust, 1x16.9 fl oz - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Aqz5DWeUL.jpg) ![JENOLITE Epoxy Rust Converter Aerosol, Neutralizes Rust, 1x16.9 fl oz - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51icC4IR6DL.jpg) ![JENOLITE Epoxy Rust Converter Aerosol, Neutralizes Rust, 1x16.9 fl oz - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51FqWy2V8AL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - JENOLITE Rust Converter Spray for Metal - Fast Acting Rust Reformer, Inhibitor, and Primer in One - Reforms Rust into Ready to Paint Surface - 400ml (13.52 fl oz) - JENOLITE Waxoil Rust Prevention Aerosol, Car/Bike/Motorcycle Corrosion Protection Spray 500ml (16.9 fl oz) - Rocaris 6 Pack Carbon Steel Wire Wheel and Pen Brush Set with 1/4-Inch Hex Shank for Rust Removal, Corrosion and Scrub Surfaces --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/629855351-jenolite-epoxy-rust-converter-aerosol-neutralizes-rust-1x16-9-fl](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/629855351-jenolite-epoxy-rust-converter-aerosol-neutralizes-rust-1x16-9-fl) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
