Not very practical. The blade travels through this piece of kit as you push the workpiece over the blade. You could just use it as a pusher but that would be a very expensive pusher.

Do you know if the material this is made from is different than the cheaper versions? Wondering if this is denser.

Hello to you. Frankly, I don't know. What I do know is that cheaper versions exist for some £13 ish less than a pucker Microjig product which in my view make a superb range of products. I value my fingers more than £13. Your choice, your risk - machine safely. Kind regards
