I recently ordered this Rope Hanging Wall Clock. I was particularly attracted by the fact it is was silent and had a large, easily-readable face. I love the fact it is rope-hanging. I think this adds a contemporary twist to the design.It needs one AA battery to operate and keeps very good time. I am a sucker for a second hand that sweeps elegantly around the clock face - and this clock has one of those. The second hand does not jerk and lurch around.The black numbers on the white face make the clock very easy to read - even at a distance. It also means the clock will fit in well with almost any decor. The clock itself seems well-made and robust and I feel it will last me many years of use.

We were looking for a wall clock and, living in a period property, wanted something a little quirky and old fashioned looking, yet that was still easy to read. I think it was the rope feature on this clock that first caught my eye then the large, clear Roman numerals. It looks great in our home, yet would look equally good in a more modern setting. It keeps good time, it’s silent and the numbers are also large enough to be read comfortably at a distance. However, come closer and the rather cheap, plasticky finish lets this really attractive clock down.

There is a hook on the back and I have just used a sticky hook on the wall to hang it.The second hand moves smoothly around the face so there is no annoying ticking sound.I'm really pleased with this clock.

I thought this oversized clock and its rustic rope would be a nice addition to our living room, but it absolutely reeks. The rope smells rancid and the unpleasant odour really isn't worth the trouble. Without the rope, the clock looks very basic and boring so I won't be able to use it with a different chain either. I'm very disappointed, and I don't think it's worth it.
