An expensive but worthwhile alternative to clip releases
I troll for a variety of species from crappie to lake trout. I love the fact that I no longer have to guess how deeply I need to set the line in the release clips I use to use. The release tension on these are easily set. No more false releases and no more dragging around a fish that didn’t trip the release.

Only way to go
These releases are the only way to go. Fully adjustable for any size fish . No more dragging fish because their not big enough to trip the release. Pricey but well worth it.

Great downrigger release!
Why have I wasted so much time using other types of releases!?! This release may take a few tries to find the right tension settings, but after you do, it’s consistent. The same tension required to release every time - until you adjust the screws again. It seems to be durable and corrosion resistant too.
