Q: Usually wear skechers shape ups, but now discontinued. how do these compare? i have bunions, flat feet, and stand all day on concrete floor.

I also used to wear sketchers shape ups they are a great shoe. The IIV shoe is different because the shoe insole hugs your foot, it offers support and structure for your flat feet. It does take some time to get used to them so when you buy them don’t give up when your feet hurt the first week or so. I don’t know anything about bunions so I can’t attest to that and these shoes. But, I think reguardleas because you stand on concrete all day your feet will hurt no matter which shoe you wear. Good Luck.

Q: Is the front of the shoe wide enough to accommodate bunions? If not, can you recommend a different type of sneaker for walking?

I am really pleased with the toe box. I don't have bunions but my foot is wide in front and my toes have plenty of room. Roomiest toe box I've experienced.

Q: Did these feel stiff to you? Also the collar of the sneaker rubber my ankle.

I think the sole is stiff but the inside is cushiony. The stiffer sole has helped the arthritic joint in my big toe. It seems to keep my toe from bending so much. No problem with anything rubbing against my ankle. These shoes have been amazing for my feet, and my back as well.

Q: Can I use memory foam insoles for more comfortable cushions

Yes, the insoles are removable and the shoes come with two different types of insoles.
