Milwaukee tool never disappoints and the same goes for this drill, I was looking for a drill/driver without the hammer drill option since I do woodworking and I have a hammer drill if I need one. So for me this was best option since it’s lighter weight and cheaper then the drill/driver hammer drill model! I still have my first Milwaukee cordless I bought 12 years ago but it finally started wear out on me. So it was time to upgrade and this is a great drill with a great price!

This is a heavy-duty 1/2" variable speed, reversing drill that will "get the job done"! That is assuming that ANY drill of this rating can "get the job done". Milwaukee packaged this drill with TWO 5-ah batteries and a dual capability battery charger. I especially like this charger because I use both M-12 and M-16 tools.I have only one regret. A small one for sure. I didn't read the description carefully and just assumed that a tool of this size would also be a hammer drill. It is not. There is no way I'd return it just for that reason. I have a hammer drill (an ORANGE vintage) that still works. It just would have been nice to have a backup.Battery life on ALL my Milwaukee tools has been VERY good, and this tool is no exception. This M-16 tool has surprisingly long battery life. I can't recall a time when I was dissatisfied with the time the battery ran before needing to be recharged. And, so far, the battery in the charger has fully recharged before the one in the drill required recharging. As for battery quality and longevity, you really can't say anything much more positive than that!

The new and improved chuck allows you to drill into metal with no slipping of the bit. The older model this replaced made it impossible to drill into metal without constant reversing to disengage the bit.This works perfectly... thank God they read the Lawyer the riot act and made a drill that does what it needs to do, instead of making it for weak armed pansies.

Drill worked ... for ONE use ... and really liked the drill. But ... after the battery drained, the battery can NOT be re-charged on the included charger which flashes red and green. No way to get battery to charge. After an hour of fidgeting with the equipment and reading instructions, searched online and found lots of people with same problem. Their solution is to "jump start" the battery with wires from a charged battery to a non-charged battery. This is insane. Milwaukee should have this working correctly out of the box (it's expensive and brand new). I called customer service, after I mentioned the problem, they hung up on me. Very disappointed.
