I have created light poles to hang string lights in our backyard by cutting down and joining balusters and adding a fence mount light pole to the top of my combined balusters after I cut the “wings” off.To join the balusters and to add the light pole, I used this metal glue / epoxy and it works quite well. I give the epoxy 24 hours to cure before I try to move the now very tall and heavy’ish pole. To test it, I point the pole parallel to the ground and hold it close to the bottom so all of the epoxy joints are stressed and then wiggle test them. My 5h pole is curing now and all the others came through with flying colors - this metal welding glue performs quite well. I also did a quick spray with black paint to hide the cured epoxy which is a light gray.I like this epoxy and when compared to a national brand, the price is very favorable.

Epoxy is a strong glue on its own. Manufacturers can stir in additives to optimize the glue for certain surfaces, and that's what appears to be happening with this item. One of the resins looks like it has powdered metal added. I'm not sure that helps it stick to anything, but I am sure it helps with marketing.Epoxy is a great adhesive I've used many times including this formulation. If you need to glue two pieces of metal together this stuff is your best bet. With good adhesion, this will still result in a joint weaker than the stock. Welding, on the other hand, should form a joint stronger than the metal its joining. This glue does not weld anything or form a comparable joint. It's good, strong epoxy which is often the best choice and sometimes the only choice.

I tried on broken bumper and weld a bolt and held it like hot welding. The adhesive is excellent settled in one hour then rock hard the next day. Good product 👌
