Best Amp at ANY Price Point. Beats tube amps.
A lot of old-time players will swear you need a tube amp, but this latest Katana Head (Gen 3), beats a tube amp in sonic quality and versatility, hands-down. It has a 5-inch built-in speaker that loud enough to gig with in a small club, and has all the bells and whistles on the front panel to get ANY sound you want. I hooked it up to a 1x12 cab, and 4x12 cab and it's loud enough to rock a stadium. Note with the built-in, 5-inch speaker you only get 30W, but again that's loud enough for a small clubs. You can also hook it up via USB-C to your computer where it serves as both a speaker AND an audio interface for a digital analog workstation (DAW) or even just making loops on Audacity. This is the only amp you need. Seriously. Super-Highly Recommended. I'd give it 10 stars if I could

THE GOAT in affordable amps
This is my fourth Boss Katana. Killer metal tones, especially when using the boss tone studio software. The versatility and features along with the price is astonishing. I can't say enough great things about this amp. It isn't PERFECT. Installing the drivers and software for the extra features is a bit slow and tedious, and great clean tones are a bit hard to dial in but not impossible. But I still give it five stars because, for the price and the features, the katana is simply unmatched.

Great!!!
Great amp head! I use it as an FRFR in to a 2x12 with Greenbacks.

Great Amp Head for a ridiculously great price
I wanted something heavier and louder than my Fender Champion 40, which is a decent amp for just jamming at the house and also something that wouldn't break the bank. The Boss Katana III does not disappoint. It's loud AF with a 4 x 12 SEISMIC Cab and has endless amounts of tone and 4 channels. I've had it a few weeks ago and I'm having a blast messing with it. I will get the Bluetooth wireless adapter soon and download the Boss Tone Studio app, from what I've read that opens up an infinite amount of tweaking and options you can play with. I'm not a professional or really proficient guitar player by any means so this is beyond anything I will ever need. For less than $400 this is a no brainer

Perfect match
Needed a light, portable, quality amp for my 1959 White Falcon Gretsch. It's exactly what I needed. Modded two 8ohm speaker cabinets to 16ohm each with resistors. So I can daisy chain them together and equal 8ohms. Now I have a great amp head with matching double stack. The sound is pure gold.

Awesome Amp
Loving this amp. I have had it almost a year now and it is fantastic. Love all the built in effects so I can sample them without investing in individual pedals. Still learning how to tweak everything and how to use the preamp volume and gain to get unique tones. With the Boss Stuid software the possibilities with this thing are almost unlimited.

Best amp you can get under $500 (IMO)
I’ve been using this as my main rig for about a year now, absolutely worth it. I’d even say this amp is batting outside of its price range. Great tones & very good quality all around everything. Once you learn how to use the tone studio you’re in business. It also works great with pedals too,, I actually avoided the tone studio for a while & just used my pedal board with the clean channel, but it’s worth learning how to work all the controls & stuff. Perfect for metal or hardcore distortion tones

Really nice package
Love it. Not too heavy. Plugged a 2x12 cabinet into it and it was so nice. Portable, durable, dynamic, with a practice speaker built in.

Killer Amp Just Got Way Better
I have 50 MkI and 50 MkII and love them both for home play. Got the Gen 3 head and the new re-voicings, the extra amp type (Pushed), and volume Bloom, the EQ Contour, the Solo switch, three cab resonances… this thing is amazing. I use it for home practice through the built-in 5” reference speaker. It’s loud for sure. I’ll get a 212 cab someday but it isn’t necessary. Love love love it!

My new favourite amp for gigging.
First off, I stripped and refinished mine immediately but didn't change anything electrically. The Katana's are very good amps for refinishing if you're looking to get into that. Its an unbelievable amp for the price. The pushed setting is THE setting, its well worth upgrading to Gen 3 for that alone. Paired with my Marshall 412, it sure moves air. Wow. My band was blown away at how it cut through, and its just so light and versatile. The tone studio is a big thing to get into, and you could spend a lifetime tinkering in there. As someone who loves to tinker, I think it is amazing. Just a wonderful amp that I only wish I bought sooner.
