Better than the original
Fit as it should no modifications just like the original and they probably better. having no hole for the spark plug is not in issue because you have plenty of room under the tank to get the plug out with a ratchet and socket

Replacement Fuel Tank
It was not an exact fit replacement so I had to make a bracket to install it. The fuel tank worked great.

Improved replacement tank for DeVilbiss GB5000 and equivalent
If you have the old gas tank, the one with the hole in the middle to get to the spark plug, it probably leaks gas at the seam in the plastic. It was not a good design, too little plastic for the welded seam. You can buy a direct replacement, but the chances if it leaking are pretty high. This one is a direct replacement. The bolt holes line up correctly (with just little bit of fiddling). The petcock installation is a bit tricky. It takes a good bit of force to push the petcock through the Viton rubber seal (only do this AFTER you put the seal through the hole in the bottom of the tank). Using the right lube help. They recommend dish soap, but it was still more than I could push in until I used silicone grease and held the petcock with a large Vise-grip to hold it steady as I pushed on it. Two people would be helpful. Once together, it installed easily and worked with no leaks. NOTE: the kit does NOT come with fuel hose to go from the tank to the fuel filter. So plan on buying about 6 inches, or keep the hose from the old tank.

Perfect fit.
This gas tank was a perfect fit for my 10HP GB5000-2 Devilbis generator. I did not have to make any brackets to adapt it to the frame of the generator. When I bought the generator (used), it had a small, make-shift gas tank. I suspect the original tank was made of metal, and was rusting on the inside, which typically causes plugging of a fuel filter or carburetor. I was happy to see this replacement tank was made of plastic. It came with all the parts needed for replacement, including a filter. Excellent product.

Powers back on
Easy to install and came with all the necessary parts. Only issue is good and bad. The original tank had a hole over the spark plug so you could use a socket with a long extension to take out the plug, now I have to use the angled extension. The tank does hold more gas than the original so it is not a big issue.
