5-1-1 Day Programmable Large Easy to Read LED Backlit Display Runs on 2 AAA and or HVAC Review: Ordered this device for a vacation home to work with my ADT Pulse system. ADT does not list as an approved device but product comments on desertcart and the web indicate it works "easily". Connected the device and the ADT Pulse system will not sense. I have an ADT approved device at another home that works fine but does cost twice as much. I tried to contact the vendor 2gig through their website with no response. ADT will not support a device not on their approved list. Right now I am left with a overpriced thermostat that I cannot control through my ADT system. My advice, spend the extra money and purchase the approved ADT device as it will function as promised. Review: This unit does not need 24 Vdc power but can run off batteries. While this limits the function and makes updating the actual temperature more difficult to avoid battery drain, is have all of the control in VeraLite and let the 2gig be the slave with temperature set point coming from VeraLite. In this way I have the temperature setting pattern in the VeraLite and I can control it from iPhone or iPad. Works very well. Makes for a simple installation. I have a simple heating system with no air conditioning. If you live far enough north, air conditioning is not needed.

Obsolete. Get the CT100 if you want Zwave functionality. The only difference between this and the CT100, which is newer, is that this can serve as a stand-alone programmable thermostat. (And it's about twice as bulky as the CT100.) If you're going to be using a Zwave network, then you won't be able to use the extra features of this thermostat (your Zwave controller will handle the scheduling) and so there is absolutely no reason to pay more for an older and bulkier thermostat. Just do a search for CT100 on Amazon and you'll find it for about $20 less than this.

I love this thermostat and it works really well. I have 2 of them in my house with about 70+ devices running on a MiCasaVerde Vera 3 system. They work really well now that I have updated them to power on the battery instead of the C-Wire. I contacted MiCasaVerde and they emailed me a quick PDF fix that took about 2 minutes to do and would be faster if you did it as part of the original install instead of after. If you don't do that, it will end up flooding the Z-Wave network with stuff and take it down until you reboot the thermostat. I did that fix a few months ago and everything is working just great without any hitches. I can control my thermostat from a computer, phone, etc anytime. I also programmed schedules so it can turn on/off and change temperatures whenever I want based on if I am home, awake, asleep, etc. Would definitely recommend it/buy another one in the future for another home.

I purchased this thermostat to connect it to my ADT Pulse security system. I wasn't sure if it was going to work but in the end it did and it is working great. I tried to connect it twice (I might not have been close enough to the panel the first time). From the ADT Pulse website, I registered it by choosing the only option there was for a thermostat even though it not the correct model. It worked and now I can completely control my A/C and Heat from my phone and ADT website. I have it setup to on a schedule and also to change settings based upon when the security system arms away and when someone comes in and disarms the system. It is working great.
