Bought this for my husband and he installed it using the backup light and a hot lead from battery and a ground. Works great and easy to install very nice picture.

Had to tap into the License plate light wiring due to lift gate on SUV. otherwise it was pretty straight forward install.

I purchased this unit because I own an older, large SUV that does not have a back-up camera, and it is difficult to see everything around me when I am backing out of parking places in shopping malls. This camera makes it much easier to safely back-up in busy malls. It was relatively easy to install and functions well.

I found that my dog's crate blocked the rear view mirror in my new car. Oh sure, I still the side mirrors but it was hard to see what was directly behind me. Enter the Rohent 5-Inch Wireless Backup Camera. I had to run a 12Vpower lead to the camera (if you are going to use it as a back-up camera, wire it the back-up lights.) The monitor simply plugs into the 12V power socket inside. The system connects wirelessly and instantly. I now can see what is directly behind me, which is very useful in city traffic. I couldn't be happier. I've attached a photo that shows a great shot of my garage door.

This is not the first backup camera Ive installed so maybe the ease of my install may not be typical. However, the wireless camera was easy to wire into the reverse light circuit using the crimp connector. Because it is a wireless camera there is no need to run a wire to the monitor which is a huge bonus. Once the camera is installed it is simply a matter of plugging the monitor in to a cigarette lighter/power outlet and turning it on. The way I set this system up there is no picture until I put the car in reverse because the camera is only powered on when the reverse lights come on. You could wire the camera into a key on power circuit if you wanted and have a picture any time you start the car. This system also has the ability to utilize a second camera if you want or have one. You can switch between individual views or do a split screen view. I only have the one camera. Overall, if you have an older car this is a simple and cost effective way of making you, or your new drivers life easier when it comes to backing up!

I hooked everything up to make sure it was working prior to installing in my truck and found the cig lighter power cord wasn't working. When I contacted support, they quickly replaced it with a new one and now it all works great.

camera works okay, however they were suppose to send me a free camera that they never sent.

Installed in a 2014 Ford F-150 that did not come with a back-up camera system.Product was just as advertised on the site. Ease of installation even though I prefer to make my own mount for attachment to the left side of the dash. Window mounts are good but I prefer a more permanent solution. Easy instructions to follow. Hooked up power to a fused battery connection as I prefer, again, the permanent solution but the cigarette lighter power option was very good as well. I used it to test the system prior to installation. I hooked the camera itself to the reverse lights for power. Will buy again when I have another vehicle that doesn't have a built in back up camera.
