Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition - PS5

So far this game is quickly becoming my game of the year- was not that hopeful but being a huge fan of the first game and everything the studio has made was so happy with this purchase. If you have game trials on ps5 maybe give a try first like I did , was hesitant due to the gameplay I’d seen and the reviews saying it was a lot less action and more detective work but honestly this game is brilliant, it look amazing it draws you in with the storyline, the action and puzzles are solid, it’s like the first one but the visuals are breathtaking, has plenty of extra content with the physical too but barley started the main story yet. It has more of a resident evil vibe to me now which is high praise.

Not gamed in a while but this got me hooked. Great atmosphere and graphics and gameplay. A bit confusing with the puzzles but get there in the end.

Wow what a game , honestly I played tbis for 40 hours with having a good look round, if you have played alan wake 1 this is a must , and definitely if you liked control, in the same world, amd you get alan wake 1 included thre remastered one

Great visuals, sound and music, interesting story and polished gameplay.The only reason I m giving 4 stars is due to one gameplay element I didn't like. Mind place, where you have to do "detective stuff". It really killed pacing of the game and I didn't find in particularly interesting.

This was not as good as the first. Yeah it looks better but like the last of us part 2, you spend half your time playing as another character that seems to have skills pinched from the BBC series Sherlock. It’s slow paced, gory and in my opinion, tedious. You need to plod from point a to point b but the road is out so you need to take a detour that takes you out of your way where you inevitably and unsurprisingly get attacked. Wash, rinse, repeat. I loved the first one but this one feels like it’s trying to be too clever, taking the Stephen King meets twin peaks of the original and doubling down on the David Lynch intrigue plus adding more about the AWE, and the connection to Control. I wish I had waited and picked it up at £15 in a sale.
