It works
I like that it is a real sponge although very skinny. So far it seems fine.

New sponge doesn't work on old sponge-pole.
The sponge could not "squeeze" due to the solid plastic backing whereas my old sponge had just two plastic pieces attached on both short ends of an old pole and allowed the sponge to "squeeze" or bend in the middle to release excess water. The old sponge pole still works....new sponges don't work on old & still used sponge poles.I cut the plastic middle section out of the new sponge, attached it to the old pole, and the sponge "squeeze" was back.

needs to be thicker to last more than 3 months.
Too thinly made needs more material.

This is not a mop, only poor fitting attachment sponge
Cannot use the sponge, holes too large to squeeze mop. Cost too high.

Doesn't work!
So disappointing! I had ordered a Homemaid cellulose hinge style sponge mop a few months ago, and was happy I had found one that used a cellulose sponge, which is much better at cleaning than the very smooth sponges in most mops. However, a mop is only as good as your ability to use it... and this replacement sponge, like one of the ones that came with the mop, will not lock on, no matter how much I follow the directions on he Homemaid website. Right now, I have it fixed in place (sort of) with a hair tie (yep), but that really is not what I would call a long-term or effective solution. Can't really use the mop properly now, so am looking for a new one. Annoying!

HOMEMAID Mop head to mop frame does not lock together properly
This sponge kind-of fits the HOMEMAID mop frame - but does not hold up because the spacing is off between the mop frame and the sponge head snaps-ons.Till I find a better working mop of this design, I have been attaching the head to the frame with two heavy duty "broccoli bands" - those big rubber bands that the grocer uses for broccoli and asparagus. This kind-of works. Not what I expected at this price point. Won't purchase any additional HOMEMAID products.Has anyone found a similar product that actually aligns properly and holds up to mopping? It is similar to a design of an old Fuller Brush mop (that lasted well over 10 years) - but Fuller Brush mop head stock has been depleted. I bought up all of the old Fuller Brush mop head stock that I could find. I am back to dirty floors that need a good mopping again.
