Excellent Build and Makes a Noticeable DifferenceThis coffee distributor is incredibly well built—feels solid and premium in the hand with a nice weight to it. The wood top and matte black finish look great on the counter, and it fits perfectly in my 54mm portafilter. Distribution is super consistent, and I’ve noticed a big improvement in shot quality since using it.It’s also very easy to clean, which is a huge plus if you’re using it daily. Definitely worth it if you’re trying to level up your espresso game without jumping into more expensive gear. Great value for the price!

Simple and it works

I like how aesthetic design. However, the wood part has splinters and it appears that the item may have passed the quality control inspection stage, or I might have received a previously used unit. In either case, I had higher expectations from this brand, and I'm pretty dissatisfied, particularly considering the significant cost of this product.

While I like the way this one look, the V-shaped wedge doesn't always leave a nice smooth, flat bed, especially in the center. I prefer the Normcore Gravity Distribution Tool with the 5-blade base. I got the stainless steel version of that, but Normcore does have the black titanium version. I'm not 100% sure that this coating makes that big of a difference to warrant the price.I do love the walnut accent of this Gravity Distribution Tool and I wish Normcore has that for their other versions.

This Normcore Gravity Distributor is another beautiful and well-made product from Normcore. I have many of their products and usually recommend them to anyone looking for high quality espresso tools.However, I cannot recommend this distributor, because it doesn't do the one job it's supposed to do. As you can see from the photo, the coffee grounds were not evenly distributed in my portafilter. I had just freshly ground the beans and transferred them into the portafilter before using my WDT tool to declump and generally distribute them. Afterwards, I used the Normcore Gravity Distributor expecting that the grounds would be evenly distributed along one layer, but I was wrong. Even after trying in both directions and adjusting the height of the tool, that sloping indentation remained. Sure, I was obviously going to tamp it down afterwards, but that's not the point.The point is that my old adjustable distribution tool did a much better job of spreading out those grounds on an even layer. My only purpose in spending $50 for this Normcore tool was to not have to worry about adjusting the tool and using gravity instead, but if it can't produce the same or better results than the manual tool, I see no point in spending the money.

This is a very well made product, which I was thrilled about as it isn’t cheap. It does a great job of distributing the ground beans before tamping, and I’ve noticed better extraction from my espresso machine. It perfectly fits my 53.5mm portafilter.
