Cute learning toy
Although my dog did not learn to use it successfully it was fun for him and his friends to play with. Well made.

Great feeding toy and studies show feeding toys lower stress
As a veterinarian, I am always interested in simple ways to improve health and decrease pet stress. Feeding toys such as this are based on studies done on farm animals and in zoos which show that mental stimulation leads to decreased stress. It's a simple concept-- think of the depression that often results when a human is chronically unemployed.I like toys like this for a few reasons. First, a lot of our pets simply bolt all of their food. This kind of toy can help slow them down and put them on a more "mindful" track of eating. Second, pet boredom is pretty big problem considering the indoor lifestyle that most of our pets currently live. I see stress related behavioral problems in both dogs and cats on a regular basis. A multi modal approach to giving our furry kids a good life is important in helping to prevent stress and behavioral problems.Although I feed my cat a primarily wet food based diet, I actually bought this toy and a cat specific Trixie toy which allows me to add bits of wet food to the wells for my senior cat. He can do both and he gets very excited when they come out. I do not, however, actually add treats to this toy or the cat specific toy as suggested. I add either small amounts of very low-calorie dry food, flakes of dried bonito fish, cat grass leaves, or, in the summer, fresh cat nip leaves to the various compartments. It doesn't really matter what I put in here, he loves the challenge regardless. In fact, I would recommend things like little frozen dollops of canned food and a different brand of kibble vs. several high calorie treats. Even if your pet is lazy most of them will enjoy engaging in this, particularly if you put it out at meal time Instead of the giant bowl of empty mindless calories known as the food bowl. The round stand up shapes take my cat a while to bat out of place as they were designed for a dog's mouth, but it doesn't deter him from trying, and succeeding, with this game. He Did manage to hide the red stand up cone under the sofa for a few weeks but I finally found it the other day and our game is up and fully functional once again!Five stars from this vet!!!!

Keeps pup occupied
Keeps my dog entertained. Mainly likes to chew on the components (seems less interested in finding the treats). I limit the time he plays with it as concerned he could chew off plastic pieces that might choke him. Fun toy for him, but requires some supervision.

Level 2 is too easy and breaks easy. Level 3 chess is where it's at!
2 Separate reviews because I bought 2 of the options. Returned the level 2 puzzle because food fell through the spaces and a couple of weeks later one of the parts broke off during normal use. I think another reviewer had the same issue with the exact same piece breaking.REVIEW #1 ☆: Got this "level 2" puzzle for my 1 yr old cat. He's not an especially smart cat breed or anything, just a regular domestic medium hair cat... I put his treats in this thing and right away he got them all out. 😑 It took him like a minute to get them all, and I thought the bone switches would be hardest for him but no, those were the first thing he figured out after watching me use them to put the treat in. It's pretty easy. There is a flaw, too: there's space where treats can fall through and end up underneath the puzzle, where they'd have to flip the whole thing over to get them. It's pretty light and the pieces are very easy to move.REVIEW #2 ☆☆☆☆☆: this is for the level 3 chess tray that is in the picture i uploaded. Love this one. Treats don't get trapped in this one, and my cat has figured out most of it over time. Hes not a special breed, just a regular fluffy black cat. It's a little more difficult than level 2. I can see him working through it, but it's not impossible or too frustrating. There's 12 spaces for treats (6 trays, 2 treats spaces per tray). My cat has yet to figure out how to move the knob to get to the last 2 trays, which is good, gives him something to do work on when he's bored!

Keeps it interesting
My dog "ask" to play with this. The second time he used it, one of the levers broke. The rubber on the bottom does hold it in place if my dog is just "nosing" it. If he uses his paws, it needs to be held in place(which I was expecting). It did take him several times to figure out how to get the treats/ kibble(he is 14 years old). Don't know if I would purchase this one again because of durability. If the connecting parts to the lever were made out of something stronger, like metal, this product would be A LOT better! I could then recommend this product. I do not leave my dog alone with it because I believe he would chew it to pieces.

My dog was so excited about this puzzle
I showed my dog, Brady this puzzle and where the treats were. It didn't take him long to figure it out. He loved it! I haven't seen him this excited about a 'toy' in a long time. Just because he figured it out doesn't mean he doesn't want to continue to play it. It seems pretty sturdy, but don't let the dog take and chew up the peices that are not attached . Easy to clean the slobber off too. I was looking for an inexpensive puzzle to try it because he had never had one before. This one seems sturdy enough and easy to play, so the dog doesn't get frustrated. I'm happy.

Solid product, meets expectations.
I bought this toy for the rooks I feed and am friends with, specifically the female rook that is dominant here. I showed her how it works and she was able to find all the hidden nuts on the first try! The toy is incredibly strong, it has survived a solid beak blow from the rook without any problems. The bird loves it. Thanks.

Not as good for smaller dogs
The cones were a little too big for my dog to grab, but otherwise it was perfect.
