Whirlpool Part Number 883149: Filter, With Lens (Includes 1 Charcoal Pad)

Bought for my Rangeaire over the stove hood. I went to the rangeaire website first. $18?? No way. So took a chance on this. Low price, arrived in three days, and perfect fit. The charcoal filter is on the outside of the aluminium mesh. It is not placed between the mesh. 4 tabs hold it in place. Easily removable. Next time I'll just but some charcoal filters, cut to size and be done with it.Thanks

Fits like the original. But it isnt gross! Change yours often with this one and avoid gross things dropping into your food from above. Or just spend the time to clean your old one, but it's nice to have the newness.

Perfect Size! It is not double sided like he first one but it gets the job done. 😉

I am sort of a clean freak, I hate grrrrrrease, can't stand the feel of it and the old filter was coming apart, didn't think I could find the part since the stove is 14 years old so I ordered two, glad I did. Leave all to Amazon, they can find for me. Products and vendors stand by the purchases. Thank you.

Exactly what i needed but literally a hair to big. Ended up breaking it trying to squeeze it in.

I was pleasantly surprised in the construction/quality of the filter that I ordered for my old rangehood fan unit. I heard previous bad reviews from other who had ordered this filter from other sources and I was very skeptical about the quality of the filter when it arrived. But it turned out to be exactly what I needed.

Don't clean it, replace it! I was so happy to be able to replace the disgusting filter for the range hood in the townhouse that I'm renting, years of other people's filth are nothing but a bad memory. Bargain priced, the filter was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition.

After frying food, I remove the filters and wash them in a detergent solution. When I tried returning the filter to its place, the wired screen dislodged. As a result, there were sharp pieces of wire on the edges. This made cleaning the filter almost impossible the second go. SO, I chucked it. Interestingly, the previous filters survived numerous washes in the dishwasher. I'm not sure why these are such pieces of junk.
