I bought this clothes rail for about £22 as a temporary solution while changing wardrobes, and overall I’m pleasantly surprised with the quality for the price.The rail arrives fully dismantled in a compact rectangular cardboard box, but the assembly process is very straightforward. Each component is clearly labelled with numbered stickers, and the instructions specify exactly which numbered parts go together, how many screws to use, and where everything attaches. If you simply follow the numbering, it’s pretty much foolproof and took me very little time to put together.Once assembled, it feels solidly built. The main hanging bar comfortably supports a full run of clothes hangers without any noticeable bowing, which was reassuring given the price.The only downside is that the overall frame can be a bit unstable side-to-side, so if you push or pull it roughly it could potentially tip. Left alone with clothes hanging normally it’s perfectly fine, but I wouldn’t rely on it in a high-traffic area or treat it roughly.That said, for the price and purpose it’s excellent as a temporary clothing rack. I probably wouldn’t use it as a permanent wardrobe replacement, but for short-term storage or during moves/renovations it does the job very well.

Quite flimsy

This clothes rail is a proper solid piece of kit dead handy for anyone short on wardrobe space or needing extra hanging room in the bedroom, hallway, or even the laundry. Made from sturdy metal tubing that feels proper robust and well-welded (no wobbly nonsense here), it holds a decent load without bending or tipping easily takes coats, dresses, shirts, and more without a fuss. The bottom metal storage shelf is brilliant for chucking shoes, bags, or folded jumpers on, and those extra hooks on the side are spot on for scarves, hats, or handbags. It's portable too, with wheels that roll smoothly (and lock if needed), so you can shift it about easily when you're rearranging. Assembly's a doddle, no faffing with complicated tools, and it looks smart and industrial without being ugly. Great value for a heavy-duty rack that actually lasts – chuffed to bits with this one, mate; it's become a lifesaver for keeping things tidy.

Comes in a box 16inches x 14inches x 4inches (i.e. in a number of pieces ). However all the pieces well labelled and quite simple to put together. What I did like was there is a separate little bag with some extra bolts etc in case you drop some and can't find them. If you don't want it as high as quoted a section on each side can be easily left out ( can also leave the side hooks off if you don't want them ). Metal tube diameter 2.5cm. means it's quite light but sufficiently strong for my shirts, jumpers etc for home use although I wouldn't buy it for e.g. selling clothes at boot fairs. Seems reasonably robust and I think it's worth the money but time will tell.
