mixes easy and raises magnesium, Use slightly warm water to mix better.. or at least for me it worked better. I don't use it too much since my magnesium levels are already higher than i thought it would according to the test kit.

Once u raise the mag to where u desire it is good for maintaining the level. It was a brain buster trying to figure out that part but once Dialed in its good to go

We have so much coral that we have supplement a ton of magnesium every day. So this was great for size and price and I like the brand.

Easy to mix and dose with.

I have been gradually raising my Mg level in my salt reef tank. But it sure does take a lot of this stuff to actually change the Mg level in a big tank. I am aiming to get my levels up to 1375ppm, but at the most, I have only seen 1200 which is still probably okay. Key to note is that I started this effort to raise Mg when my salinity was at 1.022 g/ml which is what my local fish store was running. Theory is that at a lower level, it reduces the chances of fish parasites. But my birds nest coral was not happy at this level. More importantly, my Mg levels were stuck at 900ppm and no matter how much Mg I added, it never rose. So I read on a site that the salinity level has an effect on Mg so when I raised my salinity to 1.026 g/ml, my Mg levels rose to 1200 with my dosing of this Mg crystals.So before you try to raise your Mg levels, but sure your salinity is at least 1.025 g/ml to be sure you are not trying to raise it above a level that it will never get to. Note too that there are other options for making your own reef-tank Mg without paying top dollar for this by Seachem. But I figure getting the premixed and stable stuff is worth the extra cost. If you want to make your own, just search Google for "Do-It-Yourself Magnesium". Also note that I am dosing with Seachem Reef Fusion I and 2 along with this Mg since the Mg from Reef Fusion is not enough to raise it to ensure my Mg levels are in balance with my Ca and Kh levels which the Reef Fusion products elevate.
