I've been wearing this hat everyday since I got it. Soft material, wicking headband, solid and wide brim so doesn't flop around when the wind is blowing, and chin strap plus bungee cord at the back of the head both help to keep the hat securely on my head. I wear my hair in a ponytail so the back drape doesn't actually touch my neck, but I don't think it would irritate me since the material is soft. The longer brim helps keep the sun off my chin and neck. I am loving this hat so far. Ordered, shipped and received next day. Now I want another in a different color.

My husband loves this hat! In the past, he's had skin cancer removed from his face. So, he wears it camping, at the beach, at the motorsports raceway, or just hangin' out in the backyard. He wants a second one for working out in the yard and washing the car. He says the brim width and neck cover length are perfect for maximum protection. Although in windy conditions, he said it feels like he has a flag attached to his head. The adjustment cord and chin strap are very comfortable and secure. Lightweight material prevents him from getting too hot under there. I'm deciding which color I want for myself!

Overall , It is a decent hat and the value for the money is clearly positive. The only downside is the string with a very short lasting. When it is torn ,you can throw away the hat.

Holds up to high winds and heat. Comfortable, good choice of colors. The back flap really protects the neck from sunburn and from water running down the back of the neck. The chin strap is durable, even in high winds. This replaced another hat after its chin strap broke allowing that hat to blow away, into the wild blue yonder.

I have fair skin and blue eyes and regularly feel like I’m being personally victimized by the sun. I took the plunge and ordered this baby and now I reign victorious over the assault of the sun’s blinding rays. Is it stylish? No. Is it in any way flattering? Also no. Do people look on with shock and envy when you wear this beast out? Sometimes. I have a giant head and this fits with room to spare, plus it could be sized down for all you tiny headed people with the included toggle strap. I leave mine loose and either secure the chin strap in case of high winds, or walk on the wild side, knowing my hat may fall off. It’s lightweight. It’s vented to reduce head sweating. It drys quickly and I usually wear it swimming. The brim is sturdy and reshapes fine after the water. The brim is HUGE all the way around. It deflects the sun’s harmful rays. It performs exactly as one would desire a sun hat to. Buy one. Heck, buy four. You might look like a misplaced explorer, but it’s worth it.

This hat looked very suitable for me online, and so I decided to order it even though I couldn't try it on beforehand. The hat is great. It's very light weight, fits quite comfortably (and even has a helpful chin strap), and is designed to keep the sun off of the sides of my face and my neck. Most of the time i'm not even aware that I have it on.

I use this hat as my gardening hat, and I LOVE it. Always keeps the sun out of my face and off my neck, allowing me to put in as many hours as I like without turning into a lobster-man.

It`s not the most stylish hat but it does what it`s suppose to do. It keeps the sun off my face. I use this hat when I`m outside doing yardwork, gardening or when i`m at the local u-pick. It is a light hat that is very well ventilated and it works for me.

I have a big head, size 8 with a 25 inch diameter. Much to my delight this hat actually fits. The wide brim keeps the sun off the tip of my nose and the flap at the back not only keeps my neck from getting burned but also keeps the darn deer-flies from biting me. So this is really a great hat, I wear it fishing. But My spouse is very clear that this hat is never to be worn in public... it's that ugly. LOL.
