Used this to hang shelves and it found studs with no problem. The screen is clear, and the beeping helps a lot. I’m not super handy, but this made the job way easier. It even picked up a pipe I didn’t know was there! Definitely worth it and feels solid in your hand too. Great tool to add in the new homeowner collection

This stud finder works great! It quickly and accurately located the studs in our wall and even picked up the AC wire. The included battery didn’t work, but once I swapped in my own, the unit performed perfectly. Definitely a handy tool to have!

I found the directions easy to understand. The product itself glides well over even bumpy surfaces.It Isn’t too heavy either but still feels solid. The display is clear and bright enough for dim spots.I would say the speed of the product is pretty average.It does seem to identify which is which pretty well. I would say it can be a bit finicky for stucco walls and at times false identified wires. For those walls I would suggest verifying twice.I wouldn’t say this is for professionals but the average homeowner will find this product to be handy to have available.

This stud finder was a great addition to my tool box. It works great to find the center of the studs making any installation a breeze! Not only does it scan studs but it also has a metal mode to find metal in walls! Also for safety, there's an added AC wire warning to help prevent you from drilling or hammering into live wires. It has 2 dept settings 1/2, 1 and 1 1/2 inch modes which can all be changed on the easy to read screen.

Be careful. The 9V battery had the wrapper on wrong. The polarity on the wrapper was switched. Only noticed it when the unit wouldn't turn on. Pulled the battery, flipped it over, unit now turns on.Edit: I was having a bad day. The battery was in properly both times. I later pulled it out again and there was a little plastic from the battery wrapping that must have kept it from making contact the first time. It was also marked right, I just misread it. No issues with the battery and no putting it in backward. I assume it probably has a wrong polarity protection anyways.The AC detector is always on. Apparently my walls are filled with live current, like everywhere. I highly doubt it. Did this happen when I put the battery in backwards (I didn't) due to the improper label? Who knows.Edit: I have also had the same issues as others having to recalibrate all the time. Swapped the battery with a good fresh one and still have the same issue. I learned to keep my fingers back away from the sensing area as that would cause issues too. The live wire detection is one of the main features I was hoping that workedI'd send it back, but I've done enough returns lately that I really don't feel like going through the hassle. It does find the studs though, so I'm going to call this a partial win. Not super impressed however.Edit: Unfortunately this product just isn't performing well and has gotten frustrating to use. Hopefully yours is working well. I do like the design and the sensitivity settings so there's that. Please note, the seller does read your reviews and responded to me.
