Great Dryer for Double Coted Dog Breeds
The MetroVac Air Force Commander is an outstanding dryer. My Golden Retriever has a dense double coat, and this unit dries all the way to the skin without blasting hot air or damaging the coat. The warm airflow is controlled and safe, and the coat stays soft instead of brittle. Having used professional grooming dryers in the past, I can confidently say this one performs at that level. Highly recommended for any heavy‑coated breed.

The OG and still the best
I got my first Metro Air Force Commander in the 1980s and it still works great. I got this one for a friend whose son talked her into letting him get a Husky puppy. Same orange casing, same great build, same great quality. I have no doubt it will last her for 40 or more years as well. Mine used to get a lot of use since I trained and showed dogs as well as being active in rescuing, fostering and re-homing over 80 dogs. I've semi-retired from dogs but I keep up with dog show friends and the consensus is that the Metros are still the best compact sized high velocity dryers.

Metro Vac 2 speed pet dryer
This does a great job drying our Papillon and Chihuahua dogs. The brush attachment is great for long coated dogs.
