A Simple Toy That Is Worth More Than It Costs
I bought this train for when my grandsons visit. They are 20 months and 3 1/2. Both boys ran to check out the new toy and played with it together and separately. The colors, variety of critters and lids provide fuel for their imaginations. The train is sturdy and doesn’t come apart when pulled across the room. It is the kind of quality toy that will continue to engage the boys and will easily last until they outgrow it. My daughter will probably keep it then for her grandchildren.Thank you to whoever created this great toy and sells it at an affordable price.

Fun and educational!
The media could not be loaded. My 19 mo old son loves this toy! He has played with it everyday since he received it. It helps with a lot of different skills like dexterity, colors, animal recognition, pretend play, and so much more. Plus it just brings him joy. It’s very easy to put together and take apart and I know my son will have fun doing that when he’s a little older. The colors are vibrant and the animals are cute. The only thing you need to do is check each toy animal before you give it to your child. Some of them have small rubber pieces where the finger hole is cut out on the bottom to use the animals as finger puppets that just didn’t quite fall out and is stuck in the hole. I included a picture of it. You’ll just need to check the toy as it’s a choking hazard for sure. Out of all ten animals, only one had the extra piece I needed to remove.

speech therapist recommended!
As a pediatric speech therapist, this is one of my favorite toys to use when targeting global language skills! It’s great for modeling environmental sounds, spatial concepts, color sorting, animal sounds, functional 2-3 word phrases, counting, and so much more. Many of my EI kids love trains, so this is a major plus! I love the Learning Resources present boxes with figurines inside, however, I find this to be more favorable as you can put the animals on your fingers and intrigue kiddos with the train. I definitely recommend buying it, I use it in majority of my EI sessions!

Cute train - couple of design flaws
This is a pretty cute train. No odor out of package. The lids fit on snuggly and the little barns so snap onto the train so they won't move. The little animals are cute and big enough for toddlers. The little animals are finger puppets too so that's awesome. There's just a couple of weird things. First, each barn has dots on the lid for counting. The dots are not above the numbers though. They are randomly on the side when the barns are on the train. You can put the dot above the number if the barn is off the train but the way the lids are they can't snap onto the train that way. Also there is no space between barns on the train so toddlers taking the lids off and putting them on while the the barns are snapped onto the train is pretty much impossible. I can do it but my toddlers can't. The lids too are a little weird. While you can put the lid on any direction if you put it on "sideways" with the dot above the number it takes a few seconds to line it up and put it on. The orange animal is also a little tall for the barn so it's hard to put the lid on all the way.We have a different set of barns and animals, minus the train, and that set the lids fit on very easily any way you try it. While I appreciate the lids being snug, I'd rather them be easier to put on instead.Overall, it's a cute toy and very good for teaching colors, numbers, animals, and animal sounds. And about trains. Just be aware the littles may need some help while playing with it to keep it from being frustrating.

Educational mixed with fun
My son (2 years old) absolutely loves this train set. We have had this out for him to play with for over a month now and he has managed to not lose any of the pieces! (There are a lot of pieces to the set) This toy is great for color association, counting and animal identification, making it great for educational purposes.
