A high quality mouse mat
This mouse mat is the second desk mat I've gotten from The Mousepad Company, and they've secured a long-term customer. The first mat I bought was called "The Shogun," which was designed by Satomi as well. I appreciate the textured look of their "Duraglyde" mats, with small dimples scattered across the surface. Supposedly, this texture helps with mouse tracking and durability, but I can't test that - all I know is that it makes for a uniquely styled mat. They do warn their DuraGldye material mats might not be for all sensitive skins, possibly due to these dimples. I can attest this mat does feel rougher than your standard mousepads. However, many of their mouse mats have an "Aeroglyde" material option, which looks more like traditional mats without dimples. (I have not tested that material.)The overall quality of this particular mat is fantastic, with no blurriness or loose strands. It's just a very well-constructed mat. Note that there are aspects of this mat that look like errors, but are just the style of the artist. (White dots) Additionally, it has a thick and very grippy backing that keeps it securely in place on a desk. This mat is called "Machinami," designed by the fantastic artist Satomi. He goes by Satomifuun on his social media accounts. I appreciate how The Mousepad Company doesn't hide their artists' names - choosing to show them off every chance they get. They support artists instead of stealing from them, as many pad companies do. I also admire that the company collaborates with well-known and lesser-known artists.

Really Awesome Mouse Pad
This mouse pad is made well. It has so many details and the colors are great. There is a really great weight to it and the edges don't stay curled after unrolling like some lower quality mats do. It is comfortable on my skin. There is no blurriness or loose threads and it is a great size. I am very happy with it and will continue to order from this company for anyone I know who may need a high quality mouse pad.

Makes your desk pop
Amazing mouse pad, I would consider this more of a work of art than just a mouse pad. The company manufacturing these has earned my respect by actually crediting their artists for their work. The mouse pad itself is large and feels great. The duraglyde material isn't the softest, but it still feels nice and actually works better with your mouse. The stitching also seems to be really well made and adds some additional strength to the pad. I love this pad, between the Akira tribute and the materials, this pad really stands out.

A little rough.
This mouse pad impresses with its expansive coverage and visually appealing design, ideally suited for users who prefer a larger surface area for their computing needs. The construction quality is commendable, suggesting that the mouse pad will withstand the rigors of daily use without showing premature wear and tear. However, the texture of the mouse pad presents a notable drawback. The surface feels quite rough, akin to a burlap potato sack, which might be suitable for the mouse's movements but is less comfortable for the user. While the mouse glides smoothly across the surface, the coarse texture could be irksome, particularly for those who rest their wrists or forearms on the pad during use.In summary, if you're looking for a mouse pad that offers durability and ample room for movement, this product certainly fits the bill. Yet, potential buyers should be mindful of the textural aspect, as the rough surface might not be comfortable for everyone, especially during prolonged use.

Not so "glyde"
This is my second one of these, I was hoping that the one I had previously was just a fluke in the way it felt. But it seems this is just how these mousepads are made. They do not "Glyde" at all and are quite sticky/tactile compared to true gaming pads. The designs are very nice and the prints are gorgeous but the surface is tacky no matter if you use glass or teflon/plastic skates on your mouse. I think the culprit may be the actual thermal transfer ink the use for the prints, it is almost like a partially rubberized coating that stays tacky. If you are a hardcore gamer this may not be the best fit. If you just want a really nice-looking mousepad with a cool design, then this is a good buy.

Love the design but it smells out of the box.
I immediately snatched this desk mat as soon as I saw the design. I’m an Akira fan and this desk mat was a great replacement for my other mat. It’s a few inches wider and deeper which allows it to cover most of my working area. The surface is smooth and any mouse I use flows well on it. My only gripe with the mat is that IT STINKS. I’m not sure if it’s the rubber or adhesive that was used but it really smells. I was hoping that it would subside after a few days but I’ve had this mat for more than a few weeks and it’s still lingering.Other than the smell I like the mat.

Gorgeous, durable, fast, sturdy.
I am new to The Mouse Pad Company products and I have ordered a bunch of their designs on Amazon.First thing's first: these are by far the most beautiful and gorgeous and well-designed pads anywhere. I have all kinds of pads from many different brands, but these are consistently the most artistic and beautiful. The mat itself is huge. It is more than enough to cover your entire workspace -- enough for your mouse and keyboard. The pad is great for gaming. Offers a perfect blend of speed and control. The pad is very grippy and tactile. My only two complaints are that there is a horrible chemical smell when you first get it, and it a few weeks to dissipate. And two, for some sensitive users, the pad might irritate their skin because it's VERY high friction.Overall, an amazing pad. I love it.
