Self Inflating Camping Mat, A00056-HZJ

Easy to use and well made, also comfier than I was expecting

Used it camping probably four times without any issues then I woke up to lying the ground. Thought the air valve had popped open during the night so as a test I inflated it, left it for 20 mins and it was flat. I wouldn't bother if I were you.

If you have guests coming around or you need a mat for things like camping, then this self inflating sleeping mat is just the thing for you. Nobody wants to wait around whilst these beds inflate, or worse still you don't want to be pumping this up yourself manually. Although this has a foot pump to get you started, it pretty much inflates itself within a minute. You only have to push the foot pump a few times and the technology built into this mat sucks in the air in by itself once you've given it that kick start that it needs with the foot pump. I think this has a one way valve built in so that the air goes in but it can't come back out - that's until you want it to of course. I'm guessing there is an output valve as well which would be the reverse of the inlet valve, so that it lets the air out and not back in, as this is just as quick to deflate as well. I didn't think that this would be that comfortable if I'm honest, but I was pleasantly surprised. I managed to get a fairly decent sleep on it, and even when I was awake it didn't feel uncomfortable, and that's probably because it's 10cm thick. That's pretty impressive as it just doesn't look that thick but it must be otherwise it just wouldn't be that comfortable.
