A cute way to solve those "what do you want for dinner" arguments
This die is made of a light wood, but it rolled well enough when tossed. The different food items are etched into the sides in a way that I couldn't even feel them as I ran my finger over them, but could see them well enough when I looked at them in good light. The 12-sided die is a good deal bigger than a standard D12, but roughly the same shape. The die lists 12 different food types: crepes, seafood, subs, burritos, pizza, pasta, BBQ, sushi, burgers, pho, chicken, and steaks. Some of these choices struck me as interesting, like having burritos instead of tacos, or including crepes but not salad, soup, ramen, or chow mein, just to name a few things off the top of my head. Hey, I like crepes just fine, but I have to think some of those others are more popular, and more accessible for those looking to find a restaurant that serves it. I dunno, just a personal preference thing. My only minor complaint here is that the box is surprisingly difficult to open, but once you get the die out I suppose there's no reason not to just throw it away. All in all, this die is exactly what it seems, and as long as you know what you're getting, I think you'll be satisfied with this.

Good options, Hard to read words
Very light print. Difficult to read. Love the variety of options on this dice, would love to see it better.

Roll for inspiration, not initiative
There are so many unanswerable questions. Is there life on Mars? Are we human or are we dancer? What's the frequency, Kenneth? But the most difficult question of all, the one that everyone asks but no one can answer is, "What should we have for dinner tonight?" If I had a dollar for every time my husband and I tried to decide what to eat for dinner, I would probably be the richest person on earth. So when I saw this die, I figured it couldn't hurt to gamify my life and leave the decision up to a 12-sided wooden object. If I can't answer the question, maybe a random roll can. This is a fun thing to have when you're undecided about what to eat. It can be used for lunch or dinner (or breakfast if you want). Super fun little thing to have! Makes a great white elephant gift. And remember, unless you signed a contract with that 12-sided die, you can always veto what the roll says to eat.

Works well
Is a great idea. The only problem is using it at home to cook and getting the willingness to cook

Perfect for the indecisive spouse
My wife is always asking what I want for diner, but I cant ever decide. I figured we would give this die a shot and it might help us to choose. The die is made of wood and has food categories clearly printed on the sides. It is well made and looks good. I am happy with it.

Fun but less useful than I had imagined.
So, this is supposed to make meal planning easier, but with my ADHD brain, it always becomes more of a game as I continuously re-roll to get a different answer, and then it devolves into just a toy I play with.If you are in a rut, if you only need basic ideas like… have chicken or seafood…this isn’t really all that helpful. Pasta, says the dice… so now I still need to figure out what kind of pasta and if I can make it… so not practical.i don’t know why I thought it would be… it’s more just a nice big chunky die to roll for fun.

Fun way to choose what to eat
We have the same problem that many couples have. What to eat, where to eat. This makes it fun when nobody has a preference. In or out, choose the food type. It's a lot of fun.
