These foam boards worked well for my projects. They are lightweight and easy to cut, which makes them great for crafts, displays, and small builds. The material feels decent for the price. It is not super heavy duty, but it holds its shape well for lighter applications. The surface is smooth and works nicely for painting or attaching materials. The size is convenient and easy to handle, especially for smaller projects. They are simple to store and do not take up much space. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that they can dent or bend if too much pressure is applied, so they are best for lighter use. Overall, they are a good value for the quantity and work well for crafting, school projects, and basic display needs.

Perfect for my project. I made christmas present props for a christmas beauty pageant. The top winners received a present prop. Once they opened it, it reveals there placement and money amount.

Just what I wanted. The material is easy to cut and carve with a sharp knife. The half-inch thickness makes it good for stacking. I glued several layers together with white glue and got just the right size object. It takes well to paint.

Packaged very well, unfortunately every single foam board is 11.75"x11.75 inches not 12" x12". I need to rework my whole project now.

Good crafting foam

I'm new to diorama making and building one all around a slot car track for a Christmas present. This is my second purchase of these XPS foam sheet panels. As you can see in the photos, with a little practice and after watching a few tutorial videos from pro artists, you can make these panels look like just like real concrete walls, parking blocks, sidewalks and a couple volcanoes. Definitely recommend.

I have read a lot of the other reviews and yes it is more porous and not as smooth as other foams or XPS insulation … but the open pores and the ease of using a craft knife and sculpting tools, is wonderful for creating the texture of rocks/stones/boulders for what I am using. I don’t find it breaks off while trying to cut or shape it. You need to use stronger tools but it can still be carved well. gauche paint definitely didn’t adhere to it but Acrylic works just fine. You may have to add some layers of paint to cover it all but if you sand it down first it’s even easier.

The first time I ordered this it came in a box and it was xps. The second order came in a plastic bag with dents and not xps foam. I'm not happy. I ordered xps foam boards for a commission. Now I have to tell them it's going to take longer because of this issue. In the first picture, the board on top is from the first order. The bottom board is from the second. I do not recommend and will not until they fix this.
