I have a big year of international travel ahead. After getting back from my first trip I realized I need to tweak my bag situation a bit. So I bought a few slings to try and immediately fell in love with this one, it is so high quality and versatile. I got the x-pac version and I love the sturdy material and the waterproof zippers are really solid which I appreciate. Nothing like a bit of waterproofing to put my mind at ease with a camera in my bag- which I can fit because the size is perfect. I also love that a book fits in it. It’s somehow so roomy without being awkwardly large. I got the 3.5 L size. Truly the sweet spot. If it’s packed full it works, and if it’s not stuffed it still doesn’t feel too light or like things are all sliding around because there are lots of inner organization pockets and sections for smaller and larger things. The sneaky back pocket for passport and credit cards is freakin brilliant and so hidden. I love the exterior color- the brown is really cute and it matches with black still because of the straps and details on it. I would have preferred another color for the inside (I’m basically allergic to neon orange) but upon receiving it, I actually don’t mind it as much as I expected because it’s not *quite* as bright as the photos. still not my favorite but whatever i can get past that. The buckle is a bit large and intense but I’m going to take it on my next trip and if I’m really not vibing with it then I might swap the buckle out from another pack like a reviewer suggested. I also added zipper latches like another reviewer suggested which is honestly just brilliant for travel and I think it will be so clutch for some piece of mind. Theyre like $4 on amazon and work well. I think this thing is going to be my perfect daypack that can hold literally everything I need! So stoked. The price point is super competitive for what you get. Highly recommend.

This sling punches above its size and has become my go‑to daily bag. The organization is excellent: main compartment for bulkier items, front for quick‑access, and a more secure pocket for cards and cash. It’s comfortable crossbody, feels light even when fully packed, and the materials and zippers feel tough and premium. The only downsides are that the front pocket can get tight if you overstuff it, and it’s not meant for carrying bigger or heavy items. Overall, a great compact EDC sling that looks good and works hard. Honestly though I wouldn’t mind having invested more earlier for an even larger bag of the tomtoc brand stock.

I went through several buy-and-returns on Amazon to try and find the perfect crossbody bag for my latest trip to Europe. I only had a few criteria, which was molded by other travelers' suggestions, and from process of elimination from the other bags I tried. Here's what I wanted: 1) Thick strap, fixed ends. 2) Quality zippers. 3) Ease of access to ALL pockets. 4) Lockable (with zipper locks). 5) LOTS of space. This bag hits all those marks. I tried a few bags that had a clip at the bottom, which could've EASILY been undone by a would-be thief, so I wanted to find one with solid ends. This bag has fully-stitched ends, much like a seatbelt material, and while this makes it less comfortable to adjust, the security is worth it. I can't imagine someone slicing through this strap in one shot. I zip-tied the mid-belt strap clip together, and it was still completely adjustable. Zippers are excellent, and function as they should. In line with that, I wanted all pockets to be easily accessed while wearing, but still secure. Each zipper came with a small rope pull, a few of which I removed to discourage would-be thieves from seeing where the zippers were. I used zipper locks on the main large compartment, and a smaller lock clip on the front pocket. These were very easily accessible by me, but would've been really hard to maneuver from the front. The flat back pocket was extremely useful for receipts and bills, full-size letter envelopes (for tour guide tips, etc), and the whole bag is RFID. Full marks there. Now, let's talk about capacity. I almost bought the 1.5L, but decided to go with the 3.5L, and boy am I glad I did! This has a TON of space, especially if you know how to compartmentalize. You'll see in the image a sample of what I carried daily on my trip, including a full-size paperback book, a large portable battery, and several other items. I was also able to fit my sunglasses and a 1.7oz bottle of spray sunscreen, which are not pictured. This has SO MUCH SPACE. Still very comfortable and easily manageable, and the strap could even be sized down to be worn comfortably on the waist. I cannot recommend this bag enough. Made my entire trip feel secure, and never felt like I needed much more space than I used. I fit several other things inside along the way, including a column bust from the Colosseum and my neck fan, but only when I had left the book on the bus. It's basically a TARDIS. I'll be looking for reasons to break this thing out again, and I'll miss having such a handy thing on me at all times when I get back into my regular routine! Buy this bag!

I bought the 1.5L sling bag—it's a good price point and seems well-made. It comes with RFID Blocking. There is plenty of space for my largest iPhone model and extra space for a passport, money, and a few other items. It isn't chic, but it is functional. It is made in Indonesia, not China. Overall, for the value and functionality, I give it five stars. I think it is perfect for walking around a city during the day or evening when you don't want to carry a backpack. I will also take it to a gym class, so I have my phone with me, but it isn't on the floor or in my gym shorts.

So I'll start with the fact that I wanted this sling to do double duty, so my review is based on how well it fit that use case. Primary use case (90%): travel bag that holds all my charging accessories (battery pack, wall charger, apple watch charger, usb a cables, usb c cables) and all my other small travel accessories (airpods, playing cards, mints, spare contacts, napkins, spare mask, alcohol wipes, earplugs, travel tylenol, lip balm). I want this to be able to be tossed into my carry on, and be easy to take out so it can sit next to my leg on an airplane so I have easy access - I usually sit by the window, so this fits nicely between by leg and the bulkhead. 4/5 stars: This fits exactly all those things I listed with no wasted space. I've constantly switched between a grid it (flat form factor fits into a backpack better) and a Evergoods bag (lots of compartments, but still feels like a lot of wasted space even with their innovative triangle lid design. The 1 star off is because I wish the sling strap was removable so it didn't take up as much space. For bag transport, I have velcro ties to hold the strap together without flopping around, but it still is a bit annoying. Secondary use case (10%): Actual sling function for when I'm transiting an airport or exiting and need regular access to passports, boarding passes, different currency, etc. Need to keep these things close to my body for security if I'm traveling somewhere where pickpockets may be present. 5/5: Haven't actually used it for this, but based on my recent Europe trip before buying this, I can definitely see that it would have been a great improvement to the transit experience vs. my combination of solutions that I used. There are also small loops on the front - I put carabiners in these so that I can secure the zippers if necessary in crowded environments. This is my second Tomtoc product since I learned I can count on them for quality and thoughtfulness of design (without obnoxious branding).

Tomtoc makes some pretty cool sling bags! I absolutely love this sling bag. Its small, its durable, and its pretty discreet and fashionable. It's very easy to just sling onto your body and it matches and flows with most clothing ideas. It is durable and made from quality material. I really like how it is RFID blocking technology. Which ensures some peace of mind in our everyday lives.

So I've had this tomtoc aviator 3.5l sling for around 8 months now, and I gotta say they have really listened to what people want in an EDC sling bag. This is one of the best slings on the market. Believe it or not, I don't even mean in this price range. I'm talking at any price. The price is just the cherry on top. I have some photos added, but a couple things I've changed. the first thing I swapped are the zipper pulls. The ones that come with the bag are very thin and probably the only thing I could ding in the bag. But just pick up some 550 Paracord, like I did, and issue fixed. The second thing I changed out was the buckle. Now this isn't really a con. The duraflex buckle that comes with the bag is fine. I'm just very picky about my buckles and can't really stand the sound they make or the feeling of clipping them. So I cut that one off (do this at your own risk and think about everything before committing. This could ruin your entire bag) and added a Maglockz magnetic slider buckle from one of my older Alpaka slings. The quality of this sling is awesome. The strap is nice and smooth (like a seatbelt), the exterior ripstop fabric is amazing is prob my new favorite. Even overtaking X-Pac! It's so comfortable to wear. By far the most comfortable bag I own. It's feels great to interact with as well. The interior of the bag is also amazing to interact with. I'm so happy tomtoc finally made the high viz standard. The mesh on the interior is also some of my favorite in any bag. It's so soft and stretchy. The layout of the pockets works great and I'm always surprised with how much I can fit inside. I can take my carry out of much bigger slings, and very surprisingly, it usually fits with no issue in this sling. The zippers, even though not water sealed, are perfect. They are quality and some of the smoothest you'll get. The extra things that round out this bag and put it over the edge, are the keyleash in the front pocket, the pocket on the back for securing important items, and last but not least, the dangle free strap system that is very simple to adjust. Overall this is one of, if not my favorite sling ever. My favorite thing is how comfortable and form fitting the ripstop exterior fabric is. I honestly would pick the ripstop over the X-Pac in this situation. That's unless you absolutely need the water resistance and extra durability. But X-Pac will be much stiffer and less form fitting compared to this ripstop. This is one of the things that you should really consider something that will protect your personal stuff from. Other bad people definitely works great. It's not too heavy of material but thick enough to last a long time. Zippers, everything on it is of good quality. The all the clips clip in Nice and strong. It will not come apart on its own. It looks very nice. It's got a lot of good storage. Plenty of room, and it's super easy to use, but very soon it's good as far as quality and not just falling off. That's not something you're going to have to worry about. This is a very good quality and it's very easy to adjust it. There's doing No problems with this very easy to use and definitely protects you against the bad guys highly recommend this one. Especially on traveling, you can't just take it off. It's not easy unless you want to good protection, long, lasting, great deal.Everyday use is ideal

I watched a video review of a woman saying this was a great bag to use as a fanny pack. To start with, this is a sling bag and cannot be worn as a fanny pack (unfortunately). I was hoping to have the option to wear this item as a fanny pack but it is too big (for a medium sized female). However, I kept the bag because I LOVE it! *The quality is excellent on this bag. *RFID blocking which I needed for travel. *The bright orange lining makes it easy for me to organize the bag and find things. *I love all the little compartments. Very useful! *3.5L is the perfect size to replace my daily handbag. I can fit my epipen, inhaler, small pill box, small wallet, lipgloss, small handlotion, pair of glasses, car&house keys, kleenex, pen, some paper, candy, and my phone. With all this stuff the bag feels comfortable and I can fit more in if needed (such as a collapsible shopping bag). *Excellent zippers. I can easily zip and unzip even when I am feeling very weak. *Excellent strap and easy to use clasp. *It is long & a bit narrow which makes it look streamline. *Easy to wipe clean. I purchased this bag for everyday and also for travel. I am happy with it and would recommend.
