If you're looking for rocks for an effect with plant containers or for an aquarium these Mexican rocks are a good solution. For plant containers to create a rock scene, they would work best with larger containers as these rocks are relatively large, not overtly large but much larger than pebble rocks. When they are wet, they look black but as soon as they dry, which is rather quickly they go back to a dark grey color looking like rather common rocks. The texture is smooth, likely tumbled by machine rather than gathered from nature. Either way they create a nice effect for cactus or succulents in a mini rock garden planter. I've included a picture that has pebble rocks as well as the larger rocks that are reviewed here. This will give you an indication of the size difference to see if it is suitable for your needs.I would recommend these rocks for garden crafting, mixed media art or aquariums just to name a few projects these rocks would be suitable for.

There isn't a lot of rocks for the price. So if the area you are placing the rocks isn't a small area, these rocks will not be enough

These river rocks are fantastic! I ordered them to weight down our fake lighted birth tree and our faux olive trees around our home. I also specifically wanted black river rocks because I wanted them to complement our white accent rocks. That being said these black rocks perfectly complement our white rocks giving the yin yang look I really wanted. The rocks perfectly hide the base of our faux trees and help to give them more weight to stabilize their bases in ceramic decorative pots. The 3-4 inch 20LBS bag was perfect for my needs to help cover the base off 2 different faux plants. Overall, I'm very happy with this river rock set. It suites my needs perfectly. Each rock is nice and smooth and easy to layer for a nice looking base. Would absolutely recommend this river rocks for both indoor or outdoor projects! I ordered these rocks because I needed rocks that were 3 inches to 4 inches, and that is what these were represented to be. As I have received them and unpacked them there are very few rocks that even get to 3 inches and certainly no rocks that are 4 inches. Very disappointing. Do not order these rocks if you need something larger than 2 1/2 inches.

There's not much to say about these rocks except that they are beautiful, smooth, Mexican beach pebbles. I love the look of this kind of pebble for creating special areas in my garden and for decorating pots with cactus or succulents. I also use these in glass vases to create a special display with flowers. Very classy.
