I find them excellent and comfortable to use

I work in mixed media and was looking to upgrade my Lino cutters and I found these were so much better than my old ones .They are sharp and cut well plus they are comfortable to hold .The plastic pouch is great and keeps them together and organised .So far only had a little play with them but I am impressed and feel that they are good value and will add to my arty kit .I don’t yet know how sturdy they are as I haven’t used them much .

I can only reiterate other comments. These are sharp chisels. They cut cleanly out of the box. It make a pleasant change from having to spent a hour or so sharpening and flatting chisel before they can be used. But they are a bit over hardened, so they will chip with moderate pressure. Having said that, they shave fine slithers really well and allowed me to finish a carving in very hard oak without recourse to sharpening. Good valve.

Very sharp out of the box, clever packaging. Very small which was what I wanted, but be aware of their size. Great quality Japanese product

These small hand-carving tools for woodwork are of the finest quality generally available anywhere in the World. I don't yet know how they will take to being re-sharpened because I haven't had to do that yet, and these are small chisels for fine and detailed work, but they came out of a good quality composite case...razor sharp and ready for use. Axminster Tools can be justly proud of themselves for having sourced, stocked, and now retailing a set of modelling chisels which are so superior above the crude standards of other tools in this market.

Got these as a first set of chisels to try carving and woodcut printing; they are really nice to hold and as other reviewers have said, super sharp straight out of the box.There's a good selection, no ultra fine one but I've managed to make a little pendant for my daughter and carve a simple stamp out of oak so I'm happy!

I like these a lot as I was looking for them a long time. Very good for very close work.

Bought these tools for my daughter's leaving cert art project - they are great - well balanced and sharp from the moment they arrived. She keeps them sharpened with a sharpening block that has various grooves. Not sure how long they will last, but they look pretty sturdy.
