MTR Instant Spiced Chutney Powder, 7.04-Ounce Unit

Convenient, but since I have no ethnic close to me I ordered and got it delivered in a timely manner. Product ofcourse backed by MTR name taste excellent but you can probably get it cheaper in an ethnic store for cheaper if you are close to one of them, for me it is fine to pay a little more to get it from here. Definitely recommend the product for taste spicy enough not strong but just enough.

I haven’t actually tried this yet, so this review is not so much about product quality. I just want to say that this is not a product I could ever hope to find in my local grocery. When I see this and other unfamiliar products recommended by a cooking channel, I appreciate being able to source it without much effort. My ability to make the most of the ingredient is another story. Fortunately, the pouch seems to have quite a lot, so I’ll have several opportunities.

I use this on everything for flavor apart from its actual use.

It's a great secret ingredient in vegetable soup. I mix it in yogurt with lemon juice for a delicious dip. I've added it to lentils and beans and experimented with other food. It's good to have on hand.

I've been a regular customer from Namaste India for 2 years, and finally felt guilty that I've never left a review. They should be the first choice for anyone looking for fresh Indian groceries and supplies. One product I've bought from them almost once every 2 months is MTR chutney podi/powder. It always arrives very quickly, carefully packaged, intact, and the packet looks and tastes new (not as if it's been lying in a warehouse for months). Highly recommend.

Don't know what the deal is, but when I received mine, the ingredients listed 'artificial flavor' - which was not on the label picture given when I bought it. I had to throw it out, as it was non-refundable, and I'm not eating something as ambiguous as 'artificial flavor' - what is that? Disappointed, as I bought this from a direct link from BonAppetit magazine.
