Gilmore Girls: Season 4

I only watch for the snappy dialogue

This is truly my favorite show, I have re-watched it so many times!

Gilmore girls is one of the best shows ever made for TV. This season was no exception. Some people claim that the first half of the season is dry and lacking creativity because Rory goes off to Yale. However, have you ever gone off on a new adventure in your life and have the start of it kinda trying to find your place? That's what Rory's story is about. Her trying to find her place at Yale, and coping with all the changes in her life. Same with Loralai, trying to cope with having Rory gone from the home. Loralai is also changing her life, too. The new inn is a big stress factor, and one can not just go into a new life situation and not have problems. I believe the writers were trying to incorporate that into the writing. They are very creative for that. Leaves you feeling like the characters. Trying to find your place. Empathize!As for Digger Stiles, you can't like him too much because Luke and Loralai are meant to be together and you know that at the end of the show they will be. If you think Digger and Loralai are too good together, then why get rid of him? He's just a filler for the show, and for the whole dynamic with Emily and Richard.Witty and charming and fairly wholesome except for a couple of the episodes. I guess it gives you something to talk about with your daughter. A show for the whole family. Highly recommended.

Listen, when my wife first suggested we watch Gilmore Girls, I felt as though I needed to eat a raw steak just to counter the femininity of the idea. A show about two girls? And their trials and tribulations as mother and daughter? PLEASE.Then I watched an episode. Then a second. Soon I was on Amazon buying SEASONS. Pathetic? Weak? I don't think so.If you have have the ability to laugh, then this show is something you need to watch! The witty dialog is unmatched by any other television show. Mix in a little pop culture and a manly diner owner and his nephew who balance things out, and you have a show that you BOTH can watch. Some of the characters are absolutely unbelievable...at first. Then you get to know Stars Hollow a little better, and you realize that you have in fact visited towns across the world that seem to be real, and yet totally beyond reality at the same time. Suddenly you recognize you KNOW a Taylor Doose - I know several Michels.In all seriousness, I have absolutely fallen in love with this clever and intensely well-written show. I have a sneaky suspicion that if you looked at the original show demographics, a surprisingly significant amount of men watched this it, and I am not ashamed to admit that I ask to re-watch it as often as my wife does.HIGHLY recommended.Oy with the poodles already!

Season Four was a hard season for the Gilmore Girls, and this was primarily because of Rory's [Alexis Bledel] going off to Yale. This changed the dynamics of Lorelai [Lauren Graham's] and Rory's interaction, being reduced to mainly trying to get each other on the cellphone. There was an element of being lost here for both characters, but especially so with Rory, who after breaking up with Jess in Season three [well, technically it was Jess just walking out on Rory] finds herself trying to adapt to a whole new environment [the only constant being Paris, who is her roomie at Yale] and with no real romantic suitors around.Lorelai finds herself and Sookie seeing their dreams of an inn becoming a reality, though with many problems in between. Lorelai gets romantically entangled with her father's business partner, Jason aka Digger Stiles [Chris Eigeman] and the problems the relationship poses.However, Jason is not really a character that appeals to viewers, coming across as stuffy and unsuitable for Lorelai.Despite these hiccups, there are some truly great episodes which keep viewers entertained [The Festival of Living Art for example, and the episode where Luke realises a certain winsome coffee addict is his true soulmate].All these and more will keep fans happy and new viewers entertained.

Season 2-5 Have Been Repackged This Means It DOSNT COME WITH THE BOOKLETS!It dosnt tell you when they were aired,what the epsodie is about,what epsodie is on what disc unless you Play the disc! and it dosnt come with any Gilmoresom Booklet.1st and second season was a gift , i got it 6 yrs ago so they came with booklets!year & half ago Barens and Nobel had 50% off and Buy 2 get one free offer.With out Knowldeging I got season 3-5 repackaged, Instead Of Origianl Packing Realse.my Piont is Now Im stuck with Doubles Because On flip side of cover has Pictures of Rory and Loleria that are not in any booklet.and 2nd i have feeling (even though they say discs last 50-300 yrs) I might wear the ones i have out! I guess i am in between of keeping double copys or Not.It depends on How Picky you are. I suggest Not to Buy The Platic Covering case, unless your a collector.anyways all the seasons are great just buy the original realse it is more worth it!Dont buy Repackged

i loved the gilmore girls. it kept me busy.

My daughter and I watched all 7 seasons of the Gilmore Girls during her teenage years and loved it! Not only was it another way for us to bond, but it covered so many of the challenges that teenagers go through, from friends, to boyfriends, to preparing for and choosing a college. By the time my daughter was applying to colleges, we knew what to expect (and we were looking for that large envelope in the mail, which we got, and unfortunately which they no longer do…it's all my email now). It's a great, wholesome series that I highly recommend every mom watch with her daughters. It offers plenty of opportunities for discussion of situations they may encounter in their own lives. My daughter even puts it on when she comes home for college breaks because it's very comforting to watch.

This imported disc set of 6 DVDs has a circle mark made out in each of the discs. Looks like a disgruntled laborer used a pin to create a circular gash. The same problem is there is 3 out of 6 discs in first season and 1 disc in third season. The issue was raised with Excel Home Videos Customer Care for another movie with the same issue, but it did not have the decency to even send a sorry note, leave alone a replacement. People who buy discs be warned. Open the jackets, check the discs and play them because sellers have a limited day replacement warranty.

Only recently ive started watching gilmore girls, and the 1st episode i saw was hilarious, full of drama and fast paced. If you havnt bought gilmore girls yet you have to, it is full of personality! never gets boring! Gilmore Girls - Season 4 [DVD ]Series 4 isnt my favourite but it's still hilariously packed full of drama and surprises.Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham and the rest of Stars Hollow (The Town) residents are amazingly good actors with fast talking dialogue and have won many awards.
