I'm sorta new to the shapewear game. At 5'1" and today 112lbs I'm pretty petite. I ordered small. It's comfortable. Not too tight with what I'll call "light" shaping/ flattening effects. I wear a uniform dress where I've learned it's nice to minimize lines underneath, and if your shape looks more smooth with a flatter stomach so much the better! So for that reason I've been trying some different shapewear options. I really like these. They are comfortable and made of a light mesh type fabric with criss cross reinforcements in the stomach area (pictured). There are two 2" darts on the front and backside at the waist, made with sorta what feels like what you would find in an underwire bra. The fabric (88% Polyamide 12% Elastane) feels like it will breathe well. I'll wear these without any underwear because there is a cotton crotch. The tag says to hand wash. I don't have time for hand washing. Anything. So I'll be throwing these in the washing machine.... and they look like they will survive that just fine.
