Pretty great to lower plants but to get them back up is a bit hard. Maybe there's a trick I don't know. Either way it does a great job of lowering my plants. I have one hanging inside that needs to be lower for sun and one outside that I was hoping to lower for watering and put back up to my desired height. They both do well sturdy wise, just seem to have a hard time going back up after I bring them down to water. I still use a step stool to water the inside plant but it gets more sunlight now than without the pulley. The other pulley allows me to keep the outside plant low enough to not need a step stool when watering comes. But it also keeps the plant lower than I would like. I'm not sure, I think I'm happy enough with them.

The idea behind these are great. But still not doable for me for large flower baskets.I typically buy a large mixed hanging flower basket every year and it is just high enough for me to be a struggle. Saw a similar product on TikTok so thought I would try it out.When you get the basket lower, do your watering.. you still have to use all your strength to lift the basket back up. Now.. with large/extra large basket... I am basically standing underneath the dang thing to get this device to retract. Water dripping from basket ...I am sure my neighbors loved the comedy show. lol It retracted just fine, holds the weight. I just can't lift that much weight. I use it for my hummingbird feeder now.

I love one of them, the other is a but hateful & doesn't like to pull down. It'll eventually come down, as long as you don't give up on it. It just requires a little more attn than the other.

I just got the plant pulleys today and was so excited to use them on my ferns which hang on my porch. I tried and tried and could not get it to hold the plant up. I came back in and read the reviews again because I knew that I had to be missing something since there were so many positive reviews on this product (such an awesome idea!). I finally realized that the triangle is at the top (where you are hanging the plant from) and the hook is on the plant end. DUH!! Also, if you don't take the plant completely to the top and just go to about 3 inches from the top, I found it so much easier to pull it down when it comes to watering time! I know that I am going to love these...I will update my review after a couple of weeks with a progress report. I wanted to share this information just is in case somebody else is getting frustrated and may be doing the same thing that I was!! Good luck!**UPDATE 2021** I bought these plant pulleys again last month after reading someone's review saying the key was not to take the plant all the way to the top of the pulley. IT WORKS!! I have had no trouble at all lowering the plants to water them and then raising them up to lock. I had purchased other pulleys along with these from 2019 (thinking there had to be something wrong with the pulley itself) and since they all looked alike, I decided to just get new ones. I am THRILLED that I read that review...it has worked every time and makes watering the hanging plants a breeze!! The hanging plants do hang a little lower but it's not that noticeable and the convenience is priceless! If you had trouble before, try again and lock it about 1/2 way to 3/4 from the pulley base. This product feels a little cheap and I'm not sure how heavy of a plant it would hold- I have a lightweight wire planter with a spider plant in it. Once I figured out how to lock the mechanism, it was great! My plant looks a lot better at the adjusted height and its much easier to water!

It does what its supposed to do, but I wouldn't hang heavy clay pots with it. The hooks don't seem that study, but for plastic pots I think its fine

I've ordered 2x2 Ogrmar plant katrols (so 4 in total). I got only 3 (so 1 is missing) and of those 3, 0 actually work. One of them is stuck in the shortest "mode" and two of them don't lock into place at all. Also, the katrols themselves are not as pictured. They don't show the Ogrmar brand, there is loose plastic everywhere and the hooks are not the same as shown in the picture (see added photos). This is one of the more expensive versions on Amazon, but really, don't buy them. I'll try to get my money back!

We ordered 2 of these to replace broken much older units.Sadly neither of them retract ... they get stuck.We tried a lot of fiddles and jiggles but no joy/success.Of course it could be just the units we got were defective, but 0/2 is not good

the unit was junk- initially never adjusted in height and in the broke from main unit. If ur good with a years use to just hang long without adjusting height it’s meant for u.
