Great dark responsive crash for delicate and softer playing
I have been playing this for a while and have played the Wuhan 14 crash medium weight. They are fine used with bosphorus and zildjian Ks.The 16" thin is a dark crash with plenty of vibrant overtones. It opens up by a feathery touch. It is very responsive. It has a nice wash and trashy sound. It is definitely a jazz and softer music cymbal and great for light fills.Having said that when you want a big crash the 14 medium delivers and cuts much better. I think a set with both these crashes will give you the greatest versatilities. And they cost very little. One more thing to add, wuhans have a sweet sounding threshold when open up. hitting them harder than the threshold will produce some squeals. I can work with them in delicate recordings provided i don't hit them harder than they should. I didn't find this problem in the bosphorus antiques but they are several times costier.

Dark sounding trashy crash...
Sounds like a China trash crash with very low volume projection...Envy hand hammered cymbal will sound different but in this case I have to wonder if it’s the metal used and not the hammering that gave this a Low output crash sound...When it comes to cymbals your better off to try it before you buy it because the Chinese made cymbals are individually hand hammered and metal content is questionable so no two will ever sound alike.I bought this thin crash believing it would have a brighter crash sound than their medium version and I was disappointed. The cymbal I received has a dark thrash sound more like a China crash than what I’d imagine what a thin crash would sound like. Not saying it’s a bad sounding cymbal but I had exspectation that this cymbal would sound brighter than it does and this didn’t meet my needs. It’s a shame because it’s priced right for being supposedly B20 alloy which is 10% tin and 90% copper which normally means a richer brighter sound...The low price doesn’t matter if it’s not the sound I was hoping to hear.Amazon is amazing as always and helped me with instructions how to send it back which I did...Thank-you Silv for all your help!

Not what i expected , but i love it!
OK, so I bought this on a whim. It has a cool trash can sort of sound, almost like a China cymbal. When I first pulled it out of the box and kind of hit it with my finger, I was like 'oh crap this was a mistake'. But, when I put it on my set and stared using it, I discovered it makes an amazing accent cymbal. It has a supper satisfying dark quick decay sound (like a China cymbal) and I love hitting with my snare simultaneously. Sometimes you just get lucky!

Great Crash, Great Value
Typical Wuhan value. Great cymbal for the price as are all of their offerings. This cymbal has that prototypical "crash" sound that you expect and are likely very familiar with if you listen to rock music at all. I bought the 18" Wuhan Thin Crash but returned it - to me it sounded more trashy and China like. Nice quality sound but not what I was looking for. This cymbal had the exact sound I wanted.

The best money I've ever spent on cymbals.
If you like warm, buttery, smooth crashes with just a hint of darkness, then you'll love these. I could not be any happier.

Light and punchy sound....
This has a different sound than my Z, and S and it brings antithesis dynamic sound to the kit

But without equivocation I will say that I have enjoyed these cymbals more than any Zildjians or Sabians I've ...
I bought a full compliment - 15 Dream hats, 8-10 splashes, 16, 17, 18, 19 Crashes and 22 Ride.I have played Zildjians, Sabians, Paiste, Bosphorus. Obviously, you're not going to get as refined a cymbal as a Paiste or a Bosphorus. But Paiste and Bosphorus cost over $250+ per cymbal. But without equivocation I will say that I have enjoyed these cymbals more than any Zildjians or Sabians I've ever played PERIOD
