I have been loving my AOSU cameras I started with the 4 pack and dock and have been slowly adding different cameras to the system and use memory cards for the storage. They are easy to setup, connect to wifi and your AOSU account and with the memory card you can easily review footage, and save any videos. The quality of the videos vary depending on what camera you get. Once your memory is full you can easily erase your SD card through the app without worrying about dismantling your cameras. They have been put through strong winds, rain, dust storms, and heat and they keep working without issues. The solar charging makes it even easier to not worry about them being charged or not. Occasionally you do get the bugs or dust in the lens, or occasional spider that lives on them other than that we have been very happy with the quality of hardware, video, and ease of installation. This particular unit you have to charge occasionally it will let you know when the battery is running low, but the quality is very nice, the camera does not rotate on this model. You can easily remove the doorbell to charge by pressing the tab at the bottom and push the unit up to bring it out of his holder. We usually charge it overnight and by the morning it is ready to go again for a few weeks.

I’ve been interested in a doorbell camera for quite sometime that was wireless. I purchased this AOSU Doorbell Camera and it is everything I was looking for. The picture is clear and has many features. Very easy to install. I purchased the AOSU Doorbell and received the package two days later the item was nicely packaged. I emptied the contents from the box and it came with a charging wire which I highly recommend charging the wireless doorbell before installing. While the doorbell was charging I went ahead and installed the AOSU app and it’s very user friendly. I turn the doorbell camera on and followed instructions to pair it with the app and it was fairly easy. I was then able to see that the camera was only charged at 68% and had a connection of 100% to my wifi. I went ahead and played around with the settings and paired the chime box with the doorbell and picked the sound I thought was the loudest. I went ahead and installed the mounting plate but I also purchased an angled mount since the entrance to my home does not face the front. I purchased an angle mount that was meant for other cameras but made sure the dimensions would work with the AOSU doorbell. I modified the mount by drilling four tiny holes on the angled mount and the AOSU doorbell fit right on.. Once the camera was fully charged I mounted the doorbell on the angled mount and tested it. To my surprise the video quality is very good. The doorbell circular light turns on when approached to be able to see it at night or during the day. The night vision is spectacular but I prefer color reason I turn on outside lights. A great feature is when the doorbell is activated the chime sounds off and my phone receives a call from doorbell to communicate with person at the door. That is just great. I also installed an 128Gb SD card to record activity and for no subscription needed. Overall, this was a great buy and highly recommend the AOSU wireless Doorbell Camera. AOSU has to be one of the best on the market! Update: After having to recharge the doorbell camera I moved on to find a solar panel to keep the doorbell charged without having to remove it every other week. I found the specs and purchased an AOSU 5w solar panel and I installed and connected to the doorbell camera. That's been over a month and now I haven't recharge the doorbell camera. It stays charged at 100% with solar panel absorbing sunlight most of the day. I did have to modify the dust cover seal on the doorbell to be able to close it and be able to insert the type c connector cable into the camera and it worked like a charm.

Works well, large area is covered by the camera and is pretty clear at night. App is easy to use. It's nice because you don't need a specialist to install it, I just drilled 4 small holes in the door for the faceplate. Slides on and off easily to take it off for charging. The doorbell stopped working and the replaced it right away.

Easy set up have problems retrieving information. Maybe operation error

First off - I don’t enjoy giving low star reviews so I attempted to reach out to the seller 4 days ago expressing my concerns and have not heard back - so I will proceed with expressing them here and plan to return this item. First off I’ll start with the good… The price for this doorbell I think is pretty reasonable although a quick search of other video doorbells reveals that this price point is almost average nowadays. But I ended up going with this one because it claims to be head to toe view And has all these cool features and claims to not require a subscription and so on. So another positive is that the set up was pretty easy. That’s where the positives end for me. Now again I realize this isn’t a super expensive video doorbell camera, but I at least expect it to do what it says it’s going to do. While it claims to not require a subscription you basically need a subscription if you want to capture any video whatsoever of people coming up to your door unless you want to open the app and have it live streaming 24 hours a day and be looking at your phone 24 hours a day. So there’s that. I decided to try the free trial and see if it’s worth the subscription… Let me save you the suspense and trouble. It’s not worth the money. Half of the time maybe even more than half of the time it doesn’t even capture whatever motion is occurring outside of my front door. I get alerts all the time telling me there’s motion, but then there’s absolutely no recording whatsoever of whatever was causing that motion. So then what is the point? The video it does capture is very segmented. It doesn’t capture the entire length of interaction with the person coming up to your door. So for example, someone comes up to your door and drops off a package it might catch the person as they’re walking away, but completely misses a whole chunk of them coming up to your door putting the package down and anything else they may have done. I find this really troubling because the whole point is I want to be able to capture any suspicious activity outside of my door. Isn’t that the whole point? So I’m really disappointed with the delay in recording. Speaking of delay once you get an alert and you try to open the app to see what’s going on. It takes a while not super long, but it does take a little bit to actually get to the part where the video is open and you’re able to see what’s going on. Sometimes it shows a little snippet and it’ll show a person outside the door like just walking away and then when I open the video, it shows absolutely nothing so it’s like what happened to that person? There are so many issues as far as I’m concerned with the video recording aspect of this which is basically the whole point of this product. The other complaint I have is with the so-called package Detection they have a feature that is supposed to verbally state package detection or package pick up detected I guess if they think someone is picking up your package? But so far it seems like almost every time I come home and just open the door and go inside my house. The thing goes off and says package pick up detected package pick up detected. I have no idea what the basis is for deciding that a package has been picked up, but clearly it is faulty and incorrectly alerts you that a package has been detected and is being picked up. All in all, I don’t see the point of this doorbell camera and I would suggest to anyone thinking about purchasing this to look elsewhere.

Great performance from a reasonably priced device. I was impressed with the door bell enough that I bought the 4 solar camera security system. All of the devices are easily managed thru the Aosu app on my phone. Very clear 4K captures and the tracking feature work perfectly. Just remember to grab a SD micro card!

I guess I didn’t research enough. I was going to buy a product I had used previously because it was very easy to use and the sound in the picture quality was great. But the reason I didn’t buy it was because it would only work with cloud service. So with the AOSU after I’ve thrown the box away, I discovered that it will work with a cloud service or a chip. So I thought what the heck I went and bought a chip and put in it and I’ve got it attached and up and working, but it just seems very slow . For instance when I go out to check my mail, etc. it doesn’t seem to give normal motion. It’s like everything is delayed a second or two. So I’m assuming maybe it works more normally with the cloud. I had a package delivered last week and before it showed up on my phone, the delivery personwas already leaving. I would expect that I would get faster notification such as when the delivery person is approaching. All in all I guess it will work OK for what I need. I was just expecting better than I got. The picture is clear. I haven’t heard a sound quality yet. It catches large vehicles that go down my street. But the video cut off at the edge of my steps and doesn’t start until later. So if someone was approaching from the street I wouldn’t see them or know about them until they actually reached my door and or I played back my video.

Bought to replace our POE camera before selling our house but did not expect to be this impressed. Bang for buck? Absolutely. Setup was easier than I anticipated* and I ended up having to wait 24 hours to finish installing because I couldn’t find a masonry drill bit. My particular application required it to cover the old POE Rj45 cable sized hole in the brick, and thus did require new holes be drilled. Once I got the appropriate bit, mounting it was a snap - then I realized that I was going to need a wedge so it could see the whole porch instead of the corner. That’s where my 3d printer and a free doorbell wedge file in makerspace (for a different asou model, but worked for this, and I was willing to modify if necessary.) and viola! It’s amazing and it’s making me rethink my former winning video doorbell a lot. The only reason I’m still thinking is because the asou doesn’t have a desktop app and can’t join my NVR for storing files - only the sd. I like having a monitor that shows my cameras and a local storage/playback device, but I absolutely recommend this to anyone! There are so many mounting options and you don’t have to drill to mount if you don’t want to. The view is amazing! I am extremely impressed at this price point. I’ve used far more expensive options that didn’t wow me _at all_. Pictures are - just installed - no wedge; with wedge + lights on, after dark; night mode (b&w) and what it looks like with the 3d printed wedge. (I used abs because: Texas) * (years upon years of IT has taught me nothing is easy)

Great doorbell camera! The clarity is great, and setup was easy. Just purchase a separate mini sd card to put in it, and all of your videos are saved to it, and best of all, no monthly payments! Battery lasts a good length of time (I have only had to charge it once since installing it in August, and it's now mid-November). The app is pretty easy to navigate - I did make a couple of adjustments to get the notifications I wanted, so you may have to play around with that a bit. If you don't want it going off each time you enter and exit your door, I gather you can upgrade for face recognition, but that doesn't bother me. Overall a really great purchase, thanks AOSU!!
