This made a great gift for my nephew who has so enjoyed doing all the interesting experiments and activities this box of tricks offers. Great value for money.

The media could not be loaded. It took us a long time to get our son to consider using this set. Once he started, he didn’t want to stop and has since asked to try new experiments. What I like about the set is the vast variety of experiments. There’s a lot to go through. Some very basic with things you have at home. Other experiment will require items that are not so common, which the set provides.The manual is great. I breaks down what items are in what bags, so you don’t waste time looking for items. For each experiment, it list what is found in the set and what items you need to provide. Set by set instructions and then explanation of the science behind the experiment. They really are fun educational, even for adults.I did notice in a few experiments where it states that items can be found in the set, but are not in the box. Not even listed in the item page in the beginning. Such as white vinegar. The packaging isn’t great. A lot is cramped into the box. This left some items disfigured. Also, the candle provided had arrived melted. I remember it was delivered on a hot day. The wax went on a few items. One of the items was a long thread.With everything inside and the variety of experiments. This set is great value. It will provide hours of fun and education.

This set took the spotlight at my 6 y/o niece's birthday, over a fuzzy robot dog, a tabletop claw machine and some other lovely gifts. She's kept coming back to it in the following days to dig through the treasures inside again and again and make a great mess in the process. Just turning 6, she is at the bottom of the target age bracket, and in a way, she might be a bit too young for the educational aspects of this set. I honestly doubt that there were many experiments carried out as intended, but she was perfectly happy to get creative with all the dyes and other ingredients. It seemed like a world of fun for her, so we plan to have another go at it next year with another set.
