Nice dance shoes
I love ballroom dancing, however I had a bad accident a few years ago and broke my ankle. So I'm not comfortable wearing the 3" heels I used to love so much. I was going to a dance and needed something sensible, so I thought I would try these out. I don't have huge feet, although they are a bit on the wide side. So I went with a 7.5 which is my regular dance shoe size and is also my standard street size. These shoes are a touch snug as far as width and if they were any shorter in length they would be uncomfortable. For a dance shoe that's how I like them though. You don't want your foot sliding around, because that causes blisters. So if you are ordering a pair of these and like them snug, go ahead and get your street size. If you want them looser, go up a half size. I think that once these break in they will stretch a bit and be exactly what I had hoped for. I love the heel height, they are very stable... and they are quite stylish looking as well. I'm going to a roaring 20's party and these are perfect for me.

Comfortable but become dirty easily
These shoes are comfortable and fit well. I wear a larger size that isn't available in many types of women's dance shoes, even expensive ones. The one caveat: They are not real suede, so they smell like chemicals at first. Worse, the fake suede shows dust easily, so if the top of the shoe touches the floor or the bottom of the other shoe, or if someone steps on the shoes while dancing, they become obviously marked with dust. It's easy to wipe off with a damp cloth, but it's annoying!I wish they made these in real leather!

waste of time to order
because you'll quite likely send it back if it fits you as awful as it fit me. i have no idea how anyone can give a good review, i wonder if all the factory workers send in 5* reviews in their off time? first off these are a knock off of the identical very fine dance shoe...second off their "tip top" designers here got their measurements way wrong...the uppermost strap of the two crisscross straps above the toe area had about a 3/4" gap where it just floated above my foot. otherwise the shoe fit ok...but there was no way i would wear it out of the house, poor poor quality in that regard. no wonder they are half the price of the very fine dance shoe they copied. as is usually the case, you get what you pay for.

Style is striking, but some suggestions may make it more workable.
Cute as can be. However, I would go up a size and it in an arch support padded insole (thin) as there is little height in the toe box. Yes, the odor is evident on opening- hope it goes away over time. The strap may pose a problem as it is not a usualclosing, but hope it will be OK. Love the style. Be aware that the heel is just 1".

Very nice beginner practice shoes
Very nice shoe for beginner ballroom dancers like me. I can lead or follow in these shoes and still look like a lady. I find that I'm able to wear these comfortably for long classes. My advice to keep them fresh would be to use half socks over your toe while wearing them in order to keep them fresh and protected from sweat. I usually wear 8.5 in ballroom shoes with more of a heel. I bought size 9 in this model and I'm happy with the fit. I can't say if that means they run small. Just my personal experience.

They should have used a traditional buckle
Argh! I spent so much time redoing the hook on the left shoe it was pathetic! Instead of a buckle, it just kinda hooks together. There's no way that a person could dance in these shoes without it coming undone. They fit well but the way that you have to secure them leaves something to be desired.

Street shoe size
Great! Very happy perfect for west coast swing or county dancing. Street shoe size are 10 ordered 10 matching fit! So hard with sizes on line dance shoes! Will look to order again after dancing through this pair! Low heel I was looking for with closed toe!

nice heel size
Lovely fit, nice heel size, very easy to dance in. Suede is a little difficult to keep looking nice (particularly if you get your foot trod on out on the dance floor -- Elvis voice: "Stay off of my black suede shoes!") Uppermost strap rubs a blister on one foot -- easily dealt with by preventative bandaging.
