Most effective fly catches I've seen
These are absolutely brilliant at catching fruit flys. I've never come across anything so effective before, despite having tried many in the past.I've stuck these into my plant pots, to get to the root cause of where they come from, and no joke, they are absolutely covered in fruit flys. Looking at the amount of fruit flys, it makes me sick to know how many must have been flying round beforehand, and no doubt dying all of the place too.Therre is a generous amount included too, so once they start looking unsightly due to all the flys, just bin them and start up a fresh one. A simple case of unpealing the sticky backing, to reveal the stickyness... and stick the non-sticky pointy side into the soil, and your all sorted ready to go.I couldn't recommend these highly enough, they are great!

Super sticky, can be a little tricky to insert into the soil
Pack of 40 sticky fly traps for plants. There are four different designs, 10 of each including a butterfly and bird design. Each flytrap has a plastic arrow base designed to sit in the soil which has no sticky residue. To put the flytrap into the soil you simply push it down. Depending on how dry the soil is this can be a little tricky. There is also a question as to whether you do this before or after removing the protective stickers for the adhesive part of the fly trap. I have tried both methods and yet to conclude which is the most effective. The top half of the flytrap has an adhesive layer on both sides. It is protected by a white sticker which is removed before use revealing the sticky trap underneath. The adhesive layer is very sticky and quickly gets stuck on your fingers as you are trying to get the flytrap into the soil. You will find it is an effective pest control method as you spot it collecting its first victims. After a period of time you simply throw the flytrap away and replace it with a new one.In terms of simplicity, it’s very easy to use and does not require any chemicals, therefore does not impact the plant. It is also safe to use around pets. It may not fully eradicate your pest problem but can be helpful with the likes of fungus gnats. The designs also make it slightly nicer to look at than others types available.I hope you found this review helpful.

Useful bug traps at a good price
Fruit Fly Traps Trap Indoor Sticky Yellow For Home Use Protect Plants Plant Houseplant Fungus Gnat Killer Insect Catcher Bug Catchers Control Pests Whitefly Non Toxic Odourless Safe Waterproof (40)The product I received was a pack of 40x sticky bug/insect traps. These are basic bug traps and there are 40x in the pack. To use you simply peel back the backing paper revealing the sticky tops (both sides), you then put the bottom section (non-sticky) into your chosen location. The insects stick to the sticky tops and are unable to remove themselves. I have these traps in my greenhouse and house plant pots and they work really well at catching those pesky bugs!Overall, these are useful bug traps and for the price (at time of review £5.99) they are good value for money.

Very Sticky, But Hard To Peel
I have used this type of sticky traps before and found them very useful in catching pesky gnats that hover over my indoor plants. These traps come in 4 cute designs which are a nice touch. However these were disappointing. Firstly, I found that it was difficult to peel off the white paper sticker off cleanly in one hit as the paper tore. Then because the exposed yellow backing was so sticky it was difficult to pick at an end or corner to peel the rest of the white paper off. I tried again peeling a couple of traps and they all did the same thing. The second disappointing feature was the plastic triangular part which you’re supposed to hold, was flimsy. Being light and bendy it was difficult to insert it into the soil. You then have to touch the sticky part (which was very sticky) and try to push the trap into the soil. The best feature is how sticky the exposed adhesive was. It was so sticky that you see fine glue strings if you touched it to try to insert the trap into the soil. I have no doubt it will do its job of pest control and catch many of the insects that you do not want near your plants.

Toxin free and waterproof
This pack of sticky fruit fly traps can also be used for fungus gnats, and other small bugs that are likely to fly around and get stuck on their surfaces. I am putting them in my plant pots at home, to ward off fungus gnats, as I've recently changed to a new brand of compost and sometimes I've noticed that that can introduce gnats into my house. I find these traps very easy to use. You peel off the protective film, and then you can plant them into your plant pot via the handy plastic "stake" at the bottom of the trap. There's no faffing around with chemicals. If I have a singular concern, it would be that the widening out, triangular shape of the stake, while providing stability, may also mean you need to be a little careful you don't accidentally push the stake into the roots of your plants. Especially if your plants are a bit root bound inside their pots.I like that these traps are toxin free. I like that they are waterproof, as if my plant pots are a bit small I can't avoid watering them at times while watering my plants. I also think it's nice that they come in a variety of cheerful designs, like birds, butterflies, etc, as that way they don't look too grim when placed inside my plant pots.

Very Sticky!
These fruit fly traps are really effective, especially when potting new seedlings in the spring. I always get swarms of fruit flies hatching out of my compost and these can be really annoying, especially when growing seedlings on a windowsill in the house.Supplied as a pack of 40 sticky traps of varying shapes, you simply peel off the protective paper backing before pushing one into your compost. I caught my first tiny fly within minutes of inserting this into a flower pot so they do definitely work.A word of warning though.., these traps are very sticky so only hold them by the spiked bottom area.Great product and at a reasonable price.
