Charlotte was described as a well loved and kindly lady who was devoted to her husband Adam Watson whom she married in 1839. They had 11 children, six daughters and five sons, one of which was Henry Watson born in 1848, his name is that of the company Henry Watson's Potteries Ltd. Charlotte's background was in farming until her marriage, then children became the focus of her life. Around this time mothers with large families had no modern appliances and were exceptionally busy with the day to day running of the household. Charlotte passed away on the 5th of July 1899, aged 81. A Family Tradition You Can Trust Henry Watson 1848 - 1929 (3rd Generation) In 1876 Henry amended the company name to Henry and Joseph Watson, Joseph being Henry's older brother. Together they developed the retail and wholesale outlets. In 1896 the company was registered as '' Earthenware, terracotta rustic ware, china and glass merchants. The company only became Henry Watson's Potteries Ltd in 1942. Behind the Collection Originally launched in the early 1990's this collection has grown significantly and still remains a firm favorite, a true testament to the design. I was keeping my eggs in the fridge before and the yolk was always pale yellow and discovered eggs should NOT be kept in the fridge! It easily holds 10 large eggs no problem at all and keeps your eggs lovely and fresh and the yoke is a lovely orangey yellow which is how it should be.
