Q: How long does it take to ship after order is placed? I've been waiting for a week now.

Mine arrived in two days. Did you check your order status? When was your scheduled delivery? Has it shipped? Is shipping stuck somewhere for several days, that usually means it is lost.

Q: Can this fit a sleeping pad?

It depends on your sleeping bag. I use a 13 liter sack for my down bag.

Q: Is this waterproof enough for a bear hang in heavy rain for overnight? Or should I go with the slightly heavier version of this bag?

It is waterproof for as long as I tested it under the shower spray for several minutes. It showed no signs of leaking or soaking through during my test. I don't know for sure if it would stay dry through an entire night of rain hanging from a branch. One of the manufacturer's photos shows it being hung over a strap using the buckle and bag strap.
