BOHS Foam Clay, White Air Dry Modeling Clay, 3.3 lb, 3-Pack

I had no idea how I was gonna do the tusks/fangs for my Guita cosplay (white parts on wig) and thought I was gonna use eva foam at first, but this was a more fun and better option! (A learning experience, too!) There are much more creative people here and better uses, but used this for cosplay, as advertised and it works perfectly! Im very new to this, but this was easy to mold, shape and the fun part, sanding! Made my props very clean and smooth. Looks much better than what eva foam would do imo. Love how light it is as well for the finished product, its much needed on the wig lol. As I read from other reviews, definitely allow 24 hours PLUS to dry, depending on how thick the clay is! I definitely recommend this clay for cosplay purposes, cant wait to put it to the test at a con!

My daughter really enjoyed playing with it, as it made good slime and was really easy to model with. What I personally like is that if your project isn't going the way you want it to, you can soak the clay in some water overnight, and then kneed it back to its original state. You get a good amount, it's super soft and stretchy, you can use it for modeling or slime, and easy it's to clean. My only complain is that it does have a weird scent to it, it's not that strong and only noticeable whenever you come close to sniff it.

I ordered this for a very specific use, so I can only speak to that. I am a needle-felter and I wanted to find an air-dry clay for creating claws, beaks, and such for my felted critters. This is very moist and elastic, surprisingly so. The color was a dense black which is what I wanted. It took a bit of getting used to as I am wrapping the clay around a thin wire armature and shaping it into the desired shape, but I got used to it pretty fast. It was not messy at all. I thought it would behave more like the air-dry foam clay (like Crayola), but it is quite different and I think better for my work. For my use, a little goes a long way. The 1.1 lb. package will last me forever for what I'm using it for. If this proves to work well, which it seems to, it will be a very good value for the money. Can't comment on durability yet, but I have no reason to think it won't hold up well. So far, my penguins' feet look pretty darn good! 😊 So I'm happy.

Truly an excellent value for the price. I buy these in larger quantities for my business, and I'm glad they're available and ship quickly. This is a versatile product that can work for so many projects; it is not sticky, it isn't messy, and it creates a nice finish for your artwork.

Toss out pretty much everything you expect this 'clay' to be. It's nothing like earthen clay or paper clay. It's completely different. It's incredibly clean and incredibly fun! This is my first time using foam clay. I'm used to using earthen and paper clay, and wanted to give a different clay a try. I used this in a frame mould several days ago. It's yet to harden, and it's drying (so very, very slowly) with the corners flipping up. I keep working it to flatten it back out. (I ordered some *thin and airy* muslin cloth to lay over and pin down my next flat foam mould I try. We'll see how it goes. It's just a try and see kind of thing.) Being as I'm new to foam clay, I've no doubt that the problem is with me, and not the clay. I will say this. I was so surprised at how this clay looked to be incredibly sticky, but was not sticky at all! My brain is still trying to make this make sense. Looks can be, and are deceiving! This is a very interesting medium! It has been quite fun to work with. I can see the draw. Clean up has been incredibly easy. My mould pretty much needed no cleaning at all. There was no evidence I'd even used it! Such a departure from the clay I'm used to using. I'm going to do some real research into this clay, work on making some free form sculpture with more depth and dimension, and see how it goes. I have a feeling that this is where this clay may show a real difference. I'm looking forward to having something hard enough to sand and define. I should probably add that our weather here has been quite rainy, and I do know that humidity can really wreck the curing process/time of any clay. That is not lost on me. So I'm not giving up and I'm not throwing the towel in over one small failure. I'm looking forward to my next attempt. This air dry foam clay is actually fun to work with. It's almost like a stress reliever, the consistency of it just feels like therapy to me! Storage is easy. It come sin a zip lock type bag. I don't ever trust those bags, or myself to ever zip them properly. I always double bag my clay and remove as much air as possible. I checked my clay before I came to leave this review, and it's just as fresh as when I opened it.

This is perfect for making slime! Easy and no glue or activator needed! Just roll 3 golf ball sized ball and 1/4 c of water and shaving cream to desired consistency! The color is beautiful as shown, my 9 year old granddaughter loves it! It helps with her anxiety, stretching, patting and poking holes with her fingers.. very tactile soft stuff!

I was surprised how much you get in these bags this clay is great work well and the price was great so yes I will get them again and yes I would recommend this product

Ich finde es toll dass die Masse nicht an den Fingern klebt. Aber leider verformt sie sich beim trocknen extrem (zerfließt nahezu) so dass sie für meine Projekte komplett unbrauchbar ist. Ich hoffe ich finde noch eine Verwendung dafür, bisher kann ich damit nichts anfangen. Alles was anfangs super aussah war nach einer Nacht komplett verformt. Details gehen nicht

I’ve never used foam clay on EVA foam before, but I tried it to bulk out our foam pumpkin for Halloween this year. Look at the result! I sealed it with a couple of coats of Mod Podge and it all went nicely shiny and smooth, then used acrylic paint brushed and some airbrushing around the mouth. A gloss vinyl seal before a wash and some drybrushing for highlights and the pumpkin’s done! I’ll definitely be using it for other projects, and hopefully will be able to do a bit of sculpting with it without having to worry about casting.

I purchased the BOHS Air Dry Foam Modelling Clay Lite for craft projects and couldn't be happier with the results. The clay is wonderfully soft and pliable, making it easy to mould into detailed shapes and figures. It's lightweight, doesn't stick excessively to hands, and air-dries nicely without becoming brittle. Perfect for creating figurines, cosplay accessories, and children's craft projects. The finished pieces are surprisingly durable considering how light the material is. I would definitely buy this again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile modelling clay.

Ich war durch YT-Videos auf "Schaum-Ton" aufmerksam geworden, weil ich Actionfiguren und Dioramen bastele und eine Modelliermasse wollte, die schön leicht ist/bleibt/wird. Hierfür ist dieses Produkt ganz hervorragend geeignet! Die Verarbeitung ist Klasse, es lässt sich laaaang ziehen wie Kaugummi, es lässt sich wunderbar in Silikonformen etc. pressen (und auch leicht wieder entfernen - notfalls die Form mit etwas auspinseln). Die Masse ist so weich, dass man sie sehr schön mit z.B. Silikonwerkzeugen bearbeiten kann, um z.B. Gesichter zu erstellen oder andere feine Strukturen. Im Gegensatz zu einigen lufthärtenden Produkten bilden sich beim BOHS Schaum-Ton keine oder nur mikrofeine Risse! 24h kann ich allerdings nicht bestätigen, das kommt wohl auf die Form, Menge usw. an, eher 24-48h sollte man schon einplanen. Und je nachdem wie dünn/schmal man modelliert, bleibt das fertige Produkt auch in gewissem Rahmen biegsam und flexibel (man sollte allerdings nicht erwarten, dass man es so stark biegen kann wie Gummi, dann bricht es natürlich...). Auch Kolorieren geht recht gut (ich verwende Acrylfarben) - zusammen fassend kann ich sagen, dass ich hochzufrieden bin, lediglich den Preis empfinde ich als etwas zu hoch. ;)
