What a little lifesaver !!
I am so obsessed with this little thing! Car was in storage for 3 months and the battery was dead. I got this to try jumping it myself. INSTRUCTIONS: very simple. you attach red clamp, then black, wait for solid green light, press the “boost” button if the light is flashing, then try to start your car. *VERY IMPORTANT* I almost missed this in the instructions - after your car starts you must remove the device within 30 seconds or it can do damage. Also- although it arrived with full bars, I charged it before use as instructed and it continued to charge, stopping when it was actually full. So def recommended charging on arrival. HOW IT WORKED: It took several seconds for the green light to turn on, so be patient. If it doesn’t turn on, try redoing the clamps. Once the light was green I tried to start the car and it didn’t work twice. I almost gave up, but the dash lights came on the second time and the engine made a noise, so I pressed the boost button and tried again - and it started !! I think it only didn’t work at first due to my battery being dead for ages, because it worked immediately on subsequent uses. Yes, subsequent uses. I drove my car around for a couple of hours and everything seemed fine for the next day. Then after not driving it for a day it wouldn’t start again. I had forgotten to charge the device but it instantly worked and was at 50% charge after. I had a (correct) feeling it would keep happening every time I turned my car off but my mechanic was closed for the weekend and I had some errands to run- so I just brought the little guy with me. Since it’s a USB plug I charged it while I was at the gym and it was fully charged by the end of my workout! I then had to use it two more times before going home, at that point it had 75% charge. So you can get 2-3 jumps out of one charge for sure, maybe even 4! Now I thought my battery kept dying because this little guy + driving around wasn’t able to give it enough juice after being stored for ages, so I got a smart battery car charger and charged the car battery for the full 4 hours recommended. After that my car still wouldn’t turn on! Once again the little guy saves my butt - I was immediately able to jump it to take it to my mechanic, who confirmed my battery was absolutely shot from being in storage. Honestly I’m pretty impressed this little thing was able to jump a toasted battery so consistently when a full battery charge via a wall outlet didn’t even work. FINAL THOUGHTS: This thing absolutely rocks. Amazing value for the price. Some people complain about only being able to get a couple uses out of it before having to charge the device- but as mentioned I’m just amazed that this tiny, super light weight thing has so much power ! This thing is lighter than those portable batteries you use for your phone and just bigger than the length of my hand. So easy to toss in a bag and it charges so quickly. One thing I feel a little stupid about, for anyone else who is too used to charging their iPhone with a usb-C wall mount: the charger is USB A to USB C. At first I only saw the USB A port, so I plugged that bit into the device and the USB C end into my phone’s wall mount. I then saw the little USB C port in the side which labeled “in” and realized I had plugged it in backwards. So just make sure you don’t make that ditzy mistake or else I don’t think it would actually charge. The USB A ports are labeled “out” so I think it could double as a power bank for your phone or whatever which is cool!

The S8 1500A should start at least five vehicles!
I have an old F150 truck and a Honda Pilot with bad batteries. They always need to be jumped. Even when jumping with another truck, it can sometimes be difficult. This small Astro AI S8 1500A didn't just work once, but worked over 5x times and probably could have done more. Here is how I tested it. Started with the 1999 F150. Without the charger connected, the dashboard lights and bells would sound, but turning the key would not start the truck. In fact, the battery was so dead that I didn't even get a clicking noise. Connected S8 and it started like it had a brand-new, fully charged truck battery. At this point, I was happy with my purchase but continued testing. Note that at this point the S8 said it was down to 75% charge after one jump. I then tested the Pilot that had a battery that would weakly try to turn the starter, but not enough to turn over. I put the same S8 on that was at 75% charge, and it started the small SUV up without difficulty. At this point, I am thrilled with the purchase. But let's test the limits. I then went back to the truck. Because the truck got a little charge from the previous attempt, the starter would click but not actually turn the engine over. The S8 was now showing it was at 50% charge. I started the truck again, no problem. I then tried turning the truck off and starting it again with S8 attached this only resulted in a clicking noise from the starter. i thought maybe the boost button used to start cars might auto-reset, which it does. I hit the boost button, and the truck started again. I did one more test starting the truck, and it worked. At this point, the S8 still showed it had 50% charge left. So the S8 started five big engine vehicles with near-dead batteries. It started to rain, so I quit testing. I speculate that this could start nearly 10 vehicles between charges. My only negative feedback is the following. When you hit the Boost button on the S8 the only feedback that you are in boost mode is a solenoid clicking sound. They should add a boost mode LED. Also, these are using high amp Lithium batteries, so I will use caution when charging them and avoid over-charging. That last item applies to any lithium device. I am not only thrilled with this purchase - I am stunned at how much capacity is in this power pack. I don't

AstroAI S8 - Amazing little thing for a BMW X5 4.0 SUV
When I took the AstroAI S8 out of the packaging, I looked at the unit and said to myself "you're kidding me this will never work but whatev's I'll give it a try". Boy was I wrong, this jump starter nails it every time. Early am, I took my dogs to the beach, returned, opened the lift gate, the pups jumped in and that was it, out of nowhere the battery died.....literally nothing was working. Got a jump and was back on the road. Back home, left it over night same thing. Luckily, I thought this would be a good time to buy a jump starter, cause you never know. I'd been toying with it for a while and already have a tire inflator/pressure monitor as a 'just in case'. Honestly, I didn't expect this to happen again but it did. My car is only a few years old, it's a BMW X5 4.0i. The jump charger not only needs to be able to crank & spark the engine but power-up all the monitors/heads-up display/driving/safety/management/seat passenger detectors/climate/level & motion sensors and way more stuff/systems in tandem with cranking the engine. By-Jove....it can do all of it, the car starts without any hesitation. Unfortunately, from a dead battery, the default is for all the electronics to fire up at once, so there's no 'lite start' option. I was really surprised. Useability is a sinch. Plug-in the jumper cables to the AstroAI S8 unit, pop the hood, connect the cables to the vehicle contacts (a tiny green LED by the Boost button start flashing), press the 'Boost' button at the base of the cables, get behind the wheel and start the car. I couldn't tell the difference between the jump start and regular start. It can even start the car with less than 75% charge. I can expect at least 4-5 starts from the device. It charges from a standard USB port (USB A) and when it's fully topped-up it stops charging. I'm not sure if this makes a difference but I should point-out the car was jumped from designated contact points, not the battery. Also, as soon as I press the 'boost' button I can hear the car come to life and go through some sort of boot-up. By the time I get behind the wheel, my key is detected, everything is as normal and start the vehicle. There was an instance whereby the alarm went off, I just hit 'unlock' on the fob and that did the trick. On the downside, the jumper cables seem a little short (I had no problem reaching my car's contact points) and you will have no problems jumping the battery directly. Although, I've see in some vehicles the contact points are more than 18in apart, this will require some sort of extension. As a blanket synopsis: The AstroAI S8 works great, it easily starts a super systems-power hungry vehicle w. a 3.0 inline 6.

Great little charger! Quick & easy, works right away!
Great purchase! Car was dead (I’m in Phoenix, AZ, and the 115 degree heat drains the life out of batteries in the summer), and this little charger immediately jumped the battery! No need for a buddy to come over to hook his car up to mine or to call AAA. Wish I’d purchased this years ago. Great purchase!

A must-have and affordable
Brilliant, affordable jump starter. Easy to use, great travel size. Charges in a reasonable amount of time. This item was very useful during a troubling time with my car. I recommend this item, especially as a gift for a new driver.

Good purchase
Bought this reading the reviews with some hesitation. Ive been in need of an inexpensive jump pack for a while. So I got this one figuring that if it wasnt good I could return it. There are some negative reviews on this product for sure. I just used this to jump start my truck for the first time since I bought it. I have a 5.3 V8, when jumping off another vehicle, you have to let it charge up a bit first. Not the case for this jump pack. I hooked it up, hit the boost button, when and turned the ignition and the truck started up with no effort. Ive used this to charge phones and other portable usb devices and its a perfect size. It has the features I wanted, great utility, and enough power to do what I need it to do. If you need a good jump pack that wont break the bank, can charge/run usb devices on the go, and can reliably jump start a V8 or less, then this one is the one for you. Ignore all other reviews that arent 5 star.

Works on my 4.8L V8 no prob and the price is good. 13 months and zero issues.
I got it on sale for $29.18 but full price sounds fair after using mine for 13 months. Starts my full size truck with a 4.8L LS V8 engine no prob. It is handy to charge my phone and other devices too. At 3amps @ 5v I wish it would charge faster but not a big deal to just let it sit for a few hours. If it was much larger capacity I would want PD fast charging.

Easy to use. Good value for $. Helped me get my car started and charged so I could get to Advanced Auto to get a new battery. Saved me from calling a tow truck.

Efficace

Fantastic! A must-have for every car owner!
I bought this AstroAI S8 car battery booster as a gift for my sister, whose car battery tends to go flat because she doesn’t drive often enough. From the moment I opened the box, the quality of the product was immediately apparent. The build quality is evident straight away, instilling confidence that it’s designed to last. The packaging was sleek and stylish, and the unit arrived nearly fully charged, which was a pleasant surprise. Knowing my sister needed something reliable, I was eager to test it before she had to rely on it in an emergency. The jump starter surpassed expectations right from the beginning. We tried it on her car with a flat battery, and it worked flawlessly on the first attempt. Each jump start uses about 25% of the booster’s battery, but keeping an eye on the remaining power is straightforward thanks to the bright blue battery status lights. The unit is also very easy to charge using the included USB cable. Its ease of use is a major highlight. Just connect it according to the clear instructions, and the car started up in seconds. This level of convenience is a significant improvement over traditional jump leads, allowing her to be completely independent and avoid the awkwardness of asking a neighbour or stranger for help to jump-start the car. The clamps and cables are incredibly tough and durable, feeling nice and tight when secured to the battery, unlike the jump leads I’ve used in the past. The compact size of this booster is another strong point. It’s small enough to fit neatly in her older Fiat’s glove compartment without taking up much room, yet it packs a powerful punch. Despite initial doubts about whether such a compact device could handle an older battery, it performed admirably, even in cold weather when batteries are typically more challenging to start. Over the past month, she’s had to use it multiple times, and it has proven to be a dependable tool. The built-in LED torch is another thoughtful feature, making it easier to operate in dimly lit conditions, like early mornings or late evenings. The fact that it also doubles as a power bank for charging mobile phones adds even more value to an already impressive product. Considering its price, the AstroAI S8 offers exceptional value for money. Not only is it affordable, but it also delivers high performance, making it a smart choice for any car owner. Given that a single call-out for roadside assistance can cost twice as much as this booster, investing in one is an obvious decision and well worth every penny. The delivery was fast, and the overall service was excellent, making the entire purchase experience smooth and satisfying. I’m so impressed with its performance and build quality that I’ve decided to order one for my car as well. If you’re in the market for a reliable, powerful, and well-built jump starter, I highly recommend the AstroAI S8. I could kick myself for not buying one sooner. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope that you found it helpful and that it assists you in your decision-making. I try to be as honest and fair as possible, as those have always been the reviews that helped me the most.

Absolut genialer Pannenhelfer
