I think this is a good alternative to those that are unable to have nut butters but as a like for like this is nowhere near as tasty as a peanut butter is. The taste is far more subtle compared to peanut butter and if you're somebody that needs an alternative then I think this is a pretty strong contender

Jar very difficult to open so that when you manage to the contents are so runny they go all over your clothes in greasy splatters

I used to have to go into Selfridges to buy this so it’s so handy that it’s on Amazon now! Really love the product, this flavour and choco are my favourite. Cute packaging too.

i think most people will be tempted to rate this based on a like for like comparison to regular peanut butter but like a lot of products that try to replicate the key properties of a food stuff while catering to those who cannot enjoy the original the comparisons are usually a little unfavourable because really they're something entirely different albeit similar.and thats kind of what this is like. it has a similar consistency and texture to peanut butter but the flavour of the sunflower seeds is much more savoury and less sweet. as such it's not something i'd find myself eating off the spoon like peanut butter but when spread on toast the savoury hit blends much more seamlessly into the taste of the bread and it becomes a lot closer to the experience you'd have with normal peanut butter on toast.for those who can't have nuts i think this is going to be a very pleasant discovery as it certainly feels like the real thing and the taste is something i think will grow on you with time becoming an ideal substitute.for those who just want to try it out of curiosity i think it's an interesting prospect but ultimately not quite as great as the real thing. but it's not really who it's marketed for anyways so i think it's less of an issue.

This sunflower seed butter from Sunfly is good quality, very tasty and makes a good alternative to peanut butter. It has the same consistency as a smooth peanut butter, but naturally a slightly different taste.I really liked it on toast or a rice cracker where I'd agree with the sweet and salty claims.I also tried using it as an alternative to peanut butter in a meal recipe but that wasn't as successful, and on reflection it didn't work as a good substitute in terms of taste. It was fine, but I missed the stronger peanut flavour.Overall though, if you want to try something different to peanut butter then this is a tasty seed butter.
