Exact fit
I had to straighten out the mounting plate due to damage in shipping. I would have sent it back but needed it immediately, otherwise the product worked. Should have been packaged better.

Works aside should
Pretty straight forward. Measure the height of the microwave hanger locations to the top of the microwave. Take that measurement to the bottom of the cabinet above and measure down from it. Mark it on the wall, measure from each side of the microwave to the miunting tabs. Mark it on the wall. Then put the hanger on the wall and find the stud location. Level hanger, then shoot a heavy duty screw in thru the hanger into the stud. Place the level on the top edge of the bracket and make sure the bracket is level. Then screw in the other side into the stud. Now you're ready to put the mounting holes into the cabinet above. Measure from the outside edge of the microwave to the center of each of the top mounting hole locations. Mark the holes on the underside of the cabinet. TIP# Use a speed square on the bottom face edge of the cabinet to make your line on the bottom of the face. Then move the speed square inside of the face frame to draw your line. Then Mark the depth of the center of the hole. Use a small drill bit from underneath so you can then use a larger drill bit from the top. My microwave came with the wrong bolts to mount it. After trying to screw them in by hand and noticed they wouldn't go in easily. Check your supplied screws by hand 1st. Measure the cord location and drill a 1 1/4" hole so the cord fits easily while trying to hang the microwave. Hang the microwave on the wall bracket with the bolts and washers already laying inside ready to thread them in once the cord has been pulled through 1st. After the microwave is in place and the cord pulled through, then you can loosely thread the bolts with washers into the top of the microwave. Eureka you have now mounted an above the range microwave.
