Tall enough to use under a truck. And stable, arrived ahead of time

It was a gift for my husband. He was very pleased with it. Needed it to work on his golf cart.

These stands are constructed like most other quality jack stands out there. The welds appear nicely done and the paint job is even and flat. The ratcheting pawl is positive and locks down securely on the lift. The shaft pivot holes on the frame have welded reinforcements to help prevent tear-through of the shaft. Note the range of support. The lowest height is about 1/2" higher than another set of stands that I have. The cross section of the lift arm is a bit smaller than others I have relative to the maximum height available. Be safe using it, any stand can become unstable if used beyond it's capability. I'd not use it at its highest lift point.

On the first set, the drift pin that retains the release handle was broken, so I requested replacements. The second set arrived rusted.

I'm an older seasoned automotive technician, I'm reviewing this product based on my many years of experience in the field using high quality parts, supplies, tools, and equipment. Ordered this set of jack stands as an extra set for the shop. We use these types of stands everyday in the shop. Unfortunately these stands are not what I consider robust in design. Rated at 3 ton, I would only use them for very lightweight cars and small pickups, especially if I was under the vehicle, or if the sands were set at the highest point. We will not use these stands for anything heavy duty. Price point is considered reasonable for this item.
