I bought this deck/porch box to have the delivery drivers put my packages in to keep them out of the elements & to keep the eyes of porch pirates off of thinking about stealing my packages when I have something delivered. It fits great outside of my apartment door & it's very durable. I like that it can hold a lot weight if it needs to & it holds up well. Here in South Dakota we can have some very brutal weather (especially in the summer & winter), I like that the lock can slide over to secure the lid to box, so the lid doesn't lift off of the box when we have high winds here. With South Dakota being mostly flat prairie like it is (especially here in the east river area), there's really nothing to really stop or slow down the winds when they're blowing. So with being able to secure the lid with the sliding lock is very important to me, so I can keep my packages safe from the elements & from those who are looking at stealing my packages. This deck/porch box is a great value for the money. 😀

We had an issue with the wind catching the lid and it broke the hinges. I contacted East Oak to see if I could purchase a replacement lid. Unfortunately they upgraded the storage box so the lid was no longer available. Much to my surprise they offered to replace the whole box with the new model. Their customer service was incredible and they were wonderful to deal with. In addition their products are great quality as well. We use it to store our pool floaties.

I just received the 31 gallon deckbox in brown (more of a nice taupe color). It went together easily in about 5 minutes. I found the snap-in connections to be perfectly engineered. I'm using this in a custom built campervan to hold extra canned goods, rice and other dry food. Filled to 3/4 capacity, I easily slid it around on the floor. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it is. Since I just received it and it's not outside, I can't speak to longevity or how it performs in harsh weather. I have two other 40 gallon deck boxes from other manufacturers. They work well in terms of quality and weatherproof performance. However, comparatively speaking, I think this 31 gallon box is a better value for its excellent quality, ease of assembly and esthetics. It's just a resin box but, to me, it's darn nice looking.😊 I highly recommend it.

Great ease to put together. Sturdy and attractive. I had a color issue but the customer service department has been outstanding!!! They have quickly sent a second without requiring a return.
