This is a well constructed lamp from a trusted brand.I have a tall narrow tank and I have struggled to keep foreground plants and red leaved plants healthy due to the depth and lack of light penetration from my standard LED strip lighting.This isn't for everyone, the way the light is suspended means you need decent headroom, no lid (obviously), and must be happy with the design aesthetic of the light.The cooling fan makes a gentle hum but it's unobtrusive next to the air pump and filter noise. The light is very bright and penetrates to the depths of my tank.I've been using it for a week now and my foreground plants are already starting to show signs of more vigorous growth and deeper colouration.My only complaint is the lack of controller options. The inline switch is on/off only and it would be good to be able to set at least a timer and brightness options without resorting to external control.

I bought this light as my original Hygger LED strip just wasn't giving enough light for my plants to thrive.It was easy to put together, packaged well and it was immediately obvious how much better the light was penetrative down through the tank (40cm). I actually got some pearling on some plants day 1 which i didnt get before. The kit itself is all solidly made too.No options for dimming or colour changing, and just an inline switch to turn on and off. But I've added a cheap smart plug so can now set it easily on a timer.It does say the cooling fan is silent,I wouldn't agree as it does have the usual motor hum. Though no louder than you already have from the filter or air pump.Still new so time will tell but initially really happy with it.
