My first time self tanning and I got no streaks and application was super simple. Decided to use self tanner after getting uneven lines from vacation. I’m naturally very fair, so my body had pale and tan parts. First try: It didn’t even my tan lines well bc the tan itself wasn’t very dark. I put it on only for 1 hr since I researched that it will develop deeper by 24 hrs, but it looked like nothing. I only saw a difference when I left it for 3-4 hrs; during this second application I actually applied more the 2nd day and left if for another 3-4 hrs and no issues with splotches. Having done it 3 times now, I get the color I like from sleeping in the self tanner (8 hrs). Not sure if my skin takes self tanner well or it’s the tanner but I don’t have to do major upkeep before the application. I used a glove scrub and moisturize the areas where skin creases (ankle, elbows, knees) a day before. The dark ash color was my main reason for choosing this brand. Again, my first self tanner buy, so I can’t compare if it’s more/less orange than other brands. Love my color tho! I did look quite green upon application but it turned out nice. The smell is not bad at all, but I’m not as sensitive to smells as others. It does slightly linger on clothes but a perfume spray quickly fixed that.

My skin tone is pale with gold tones and a lot of products tend to turn orange on me. I was a bit nervous to apply this color at first not knowing how dark it would be, but the result was really nice. I used a very small amount on my face and it looked fine. I’ve used it many times now and I always get a nice medium shade tan. Also, I have not had any streaking with this product. I got a little lazy and did not exfoliate prior to applying one time and it did not streak. The tan lasts about 2 - 3 days and the application and drying time is very quick. So far I love this product and there is a lot of quantity for price. This is probably the best tanning product I’ve used yet!

Love the violet tones. Normally I turn orange and this does not do that!

I don’t know how this is considered super dark. I barely look like I have a tan. I was trying to find something a little cheaper than loving tan which is what I normally purchase. I wore this for 7 hours and it’s not even half as dark as my normal tan from loving tan. I guess it’s cheaper for a reason.

I’ve read reviews about this product looking green and yes, it does have a greenish tint when first applied to a tanning mitt. The greenish tint means it’s not going to be orange. It will counteract any red, pink, orange tint you have on your skin. This is a true brownish tan color. I find it goes on smoothly with no streaks. It’s is easy to correct any mistakes you may make while applying. The most important aspect is that it is not orange. It looks real in natural or artificial light. Do not be afraid of the tint straight out of the bottle, again this just means it’s not orange. It wears off well in my opinion, not splotchy however I don’t think there is a self tanner out there that fades like a real tan. I apply quite often. If you don’t rinse it off it will come off a bit on sheets but doesn’t stain at all, easily washes out. I have light-medium skin with pink-red undertones and it’s perfect. I’m not sure how this would be on a very pale person. MineTan violet also diminishes reddish tones but is a lighter shade which could be better. I cannot stress enough to not be afraid of the color that comes straight out of the bottle onto the mitt. You will not have green skin!

I love MineTan products for several reasons. I’ve used everything on the market to very high priced self-tanners to drug store ones. All yuck and eventually smells bad. No bad odor, a more natural product (less toxic), tan looks amazingly dark, can use on face / body and it’s sold on Amazon! Same price as the MineTan website. While I like all their self tanners, this one is my fav because it’s dark and leaves a gorgeous bronzed (not orange!) finish. Reference: I have very fair skin. I use this to enhance my light tan from the sun. I have sensitive, rosacea prone skin. This does not affect it at all. In fact I also recommend face tan water by ecotan for face. All natural and never affects my sensitive skin. I never tan my face/neck from the sun. Always use a zinc product on those areas. This self tanner ensures I’m tanned from head to toes. I highly recommend getting the tanning mitt. You don’t want this on your palms. Only Con: it will drain sheets so I don’t recommend sleeping on light coloured sheets until you’ve showered. Directions suggest you can alter colour by showering 1-2 or 3 hours following application. I usually wait till next day before showering. Remember to exfoliate and use sparingly around toes/ankles/elbows. I often forget and my tan always looks good & natural. A GREAT product!

My dad's people are basically Phoenicians and come from all over the entire right half of the Mediterranean but for some reason my winter legs were ghostier than usual this year. My other half is typical American white Euro-mutt, so while I have this beautiful olive complexion and tan very easily, when I don't see the sun for a while, this weird mottled pink tone comes out to play. It makes me look lumpy where there are no lumps and I feel like a ball of unbaked dough. Self-tanner has come a long way since I last risked it, thankfully, and some research into the best ones for olive skin brought me here. I shaved and moisturized dutifully over the course of a few days beforehand, waiting for this to arrive with a monthly delivery of subscribe and save items. It is definitely relieving to see a non-orange/red foam come out of the bottle, although also a bit unnerving, at first, to put something this color on my legs. Was I going to turn the color of baby food poop? But, I hoped for the best, because at least I was assured of not becoming orange. The last thing I need or want is to look anything like a Cheeto. I put this on using a mitt while binge-watching a new show and figured, based on the bottle, that an hour would be what I needed to turn my legs from something you could print on to something human again. An hour into it and I could see where I needed to touch things up (and learned, also, that you should definitely buff off any callouses before putting this on your feet). A couple of hours after that and I thought "okay, this is nice. Not a deep tan or anything, but I no longer look like a ghost, so..." And then, I forgot to wash it off and went to bed. I woke up this morning to no change in status. This is nowhere near the DEEP tan claimed on the bottle, although it's exactly what I needed because it looks smooth and natural in tone, making my legs the same color as the rest of my body. Since the heat just went from 60 to 80 overnight here, it means being able to wear shorts right away without blinding anyone. Use a mitt, and don't expect the bottle claims if you have a medium or darker olive skin. But if you are looking to ease into a self tanner and need to balance yourself out a bit, this is exactly what you need.

Works great and doesn’t look Orange. It does have a sunless tanner smell but it’s not awful. Nice dark brown color. Fades well, looks natural.

I love MineTan. It goes on smoothly and never goes streaky on me. It fades really evenly too until I exfoliate it all off after a week. I'm pale with a pinky, cool skin tone. The dark ash colour, left on for just one hour, is perfect and dyes me the exact colour I go in the sun. I've also used the caramel, which is lovely too. It's golden, and a colour I adore Just not the colour I normally go, but I do love it. Just a bit more 'footballers wife' and fun for certain clothing colours it looks better. Fabulous to have the choice of undertone, not many fake tans offer this.

My go to all time favourite tan I’ve been buying this for yearsssssss I’ve tried others along the way but this is hands down the best tan by a mile But a sleep suit if u leaving on overnight as it does come off on bedding But won’t affect the results.

During the winter months this takes my pale a$$ from white AF to perfect Italian olive bronze 🫒 🥉 ☀️
