Is this size ripstik good for my 11 yr. old girl? 34" just seems big.

Yes. My son is 10 and he is smaller than the average sized 10 yr old and his rip stick is perfect for what he likes to do. We bought the smaller size first, but he said it was too small . Hope this helps!

I know the Ripsticks come in at least two sizes. How do I know what size this one is? It doesn't seem to say.

I didn't know they came in two sizes - this one is the same size as another we have from several years ago. So it must be a standard size. Kids of all ages and sizes enjoy it!

Do this need a lot of pavement to ride? Do nine year olds like it?

My 10 year old granddaughter loves it ! She uses it in the house and outside. You don’t need a lot of pavement. You can make really cool turns.
